We finally have a Genshin Impact 1.5 release date. Here's everything you need to know about what to expect.

Genshin Impact 1.5 begins April 28, miHoYo announced in the Genshin 1.5 preview trailer, which is also when the game releases on the PlayStation 5.

Dubbed “Beneath the Light of Jadeite”, Genshin Impact 1.5 introduces a number of new characters and elements, while continuing Zhongli’s story in Liyue.

It turns out the leaked characters Yanfei and Eula are indeed real. Yanfei is a Liyue legal expert and Pyro wielder, while Eula is a stoic aristocrat, apparently a pariah, and a sword-using Cryo warrior.

While miHoYo didn’t announce when their respective banners will take place, the order of their reveals in the trailer suggests Yanfei might be first.

Zhongli’s story continues with the new weekly boss Azhdaha, aka the Lord of Vishaps. It’s a vengeful monster who changes the battlefield and switches attack elements on the fly. Cryo Hypostasis is also joining the boss roster and grants character Ascension materials when defeated.

The rumored Genshin Impact housing mechanic is also real. Using the Serenitea Pot, the Traveler can access a new realm and customize it as they see fit, with houses, buildings, and even animals. The trailer is light on detail, though we imagine miHoYo will share more in the coming weeks.

The 1.5 patch will also introduce Hangout Events series two, including Diona’s hangout event, two new Artifact sets, plus a new dungeon where players can only tackle with equipment earned in the dungeon itself.

Meanwhile, you still have a bit of time to check out the ongoing Genshin Impact 1.4 update.
