It's important to know how to change oil in Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021 if you want things to be as realistic as they can be. You don't technically have to change your oil outside of the campaign tutorial, but since doing so is part of that prologue and the process can be a bit janky and confusing.

This Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator guide will tell you how to change oil from the start of the process to the end, and include which menus you need to be in for each step.

How to Change Oil in Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021

It's likely that you'll already have the motorcycle selected in the tutorial, but this process is basically the same whether you do or not.

With the motorcycle selected, press RMB to bring up the radial menu. Then choose Motorcycle Maintenance in the upper left part of the menu. Note that you can't move to other parts of the motorcycle without pressing ESC. This may take you out of the maintenance menu.

Next, find the oil cap on the engine and select it. The cap is likely in a different place depending on what type of motorcycle you're working on, but just inspect the engine on both sides for it and you should find it easily.

If you've moved to find the cap, it's likely you've exited maintenance mode and won't be able to add any liquid. You know if you're in maintenance mode or not because parts of the motorcycle will be bright white

Now remove the oil cap

After removing the plug, highlight the pouring hole. You should have the "change oil" prompt appear. Hold LMB to start the filling process.

A container will appear. Continue to hold LMB to raise the container to a roughly 90-degree angle to begin pouring oil. On the right side of the screen, you'll see a large oil droplet icon, and it will begin to fill with amber as you fill the engine.

Stop pouring once the amber reaches the top of the drop icon. It's advisable to just hold the button down until the game automatically stops the process since even a small amount of missing oil can be a problem. The game will not allow an overflow to occur.

Now, press Esc to exit the procedure.

If the oil cap doesn't automatically go back on, press RMB and choose "Assembly" in the bottom left of the radial menu. You should see a white transparent outline of the oil cap on the engine. Highlight it, and hold LMB. Select the cap from the menu that appears on the right.

You must put the cap back on, otherwise, you won't be able to test-drive your motorcycle.

How to Remove Oil

Removing oil from your motorcycle follows the same basic steps. If you have any in your engine already, select the engine and enter the Motorcycle Maintenance menu. Then remove the cap. A suction tool will appear, and you can hold LMB to remove some or all of the liquid.

To refill the engine, you will have to exit the removal procedure and start over.

And that's basically all you need to know about how to change oil in Motorcycle Mechanic Simulator 2021! Again, this procedure isn't exactly necessary, but it adds to the overall realism of the game, which is what simulators are all about.

Skyrim Invisible Chests: How to Find These Infinite Loot Locations Fri, 03 Dec 2021 22:05:36 -0500 Gavin Burtt

Skyrim has three glitched, completely invisible chests just waiting to be found. Though The Elder Scrolls V is one of the undisputed all-time great, era-defining video gamesit's also incredibly broken, provided you know how to break it.

Of course, these three invisible chests contain loot you'll want to find. They are in areas that were supposed to be unreachable, but this Skyrim guide will show you how to get them anyway.

All three of these invisible chests are Khajit Caravan chests, and they can be looted infinitely. In order to do so, locate the Khajit Traders in the area, then talk with them to see what they have.

After that, save the game, then kill the traders. Reload that save, back to when they were alive, and check with them again. After that, the invisible chests will be refilled and you can take from it yet again.

Where to Find Invisible Chests in Skyrim

Invisible Khajit Caravan Chest 1

The first chest can be found in Dawnstar, so fast travel there to save on some walking. Once you're there, walk forward a bit and turn right past the trees in front of you. Follow this path straight, until you walk past some wooden carts and a smelter to your right. In front of you, you should see a mine.

To the left of the mine entrance, you should see three small rocks on the ground. Between the left and middle rock, and a few feet back, you can hover your reticle and receive a prompt to open a chest, despite there not being one.

This is the first invisible chest, and it comes with supplies to last a lifetime. It even has some iron ore, which you'll learn further down, can be looted infinitely many times.

Invisible Khajit Caravan Chest 2

The second invisible chest can be found just outside Solitude. Immediately after you exit the area, through the large stone gate pictured below, take a hard left into a small grass area overlooking a large cliff.

You should see a small collection of light gray rocks on the right, and a shrub to the left of those. Immediately past the shrub, closely inspect the ground for a dark blue stick.

Directly south of this blue stick by about a foot, you will receive a prompt to open yet another invisible chest. Much like the last one, this chest contains way more than your typical chest would include (like 1,000 gold and some ebony ingots), plus potions galore. So loot at your heart's desire.

Invisible Khajit Caravan Chest 3

The third invisible chest can be found outside Markarth. Leave Markarth and follow the cobblestone path that you see pictured below. You'll have to follow it for a short while, until you reach the bridge, with a sign and small stone wall to the immediate left. Stop once you get here.

Walk around to the opposite side of this wall and start inspecting the ground in front of it. A few feet away from the wall, at around the fourth or fifth stone on the bottom row, you can find yet another invisible chest prompt where there is no chest to be seen. This chest will include some amazing loot, even including an ebony bow and 1,000 gold.

Now that you know where to farm these incredibly decked-out glitched chests in Skyrim, you'll be set for loot for good. With that infinite gold, you can buy all the houses or horses you could ask for. If you're interested in learning even more about Skyrim, consider checking out our guides hub!

Farming Simulator 22: How to Make Money Fast Sat, 04 Dec 2021 13:18:53 -0500 Justin Michael

Wondering how to make money fast in Farming Simulator 22? This guide will tell you the quickest ways to earn cash, and it includes a few tips and tricks to help you best use it, too! There's lots to buy when it comes to not just farming, but animal husbandry and forestry, so streamlining your efforts early can pay huge dividends for your farm down the line.

Most simulation games like Farming Simulator 22 aren’t really about speed or progressing toward one end state. There’s not exactly a time limit put on your various challenges and goals — well, aside from what you set for yourself. So why not make money fast at the start to reap the profits down the line?

All of the “best” equipment costs a considerable amount and if you’re like me, you wanna play with those big, shiny, and expensive toys sooner rather than later.

The Best Ways to Make Money Fast in Farming Simulator 22

Find the Hidden Collectibles on Every Map

If you’re playing one of the three base maps in Farming Simulator 22, then finding all of the hidden collectibles on each map is a super quick way to earn money. You can net between $120,000 and $1.1 million without even touching a piece of machinery.

If you don’t feel like doing that scavenger hunt on your own, don’t worry: we’ve already got you covered with collectible guides on Elmcreek, Haut-Beyleron, and Erlengrat, complete with grid coordinates and/or pictures.

Chickens, Chickens, Chickens

Chickens are one of the best animals in Farming Simulator 22 if you want that early game cash. They’re cheap, they require very little maintenance, and their eggs sell for a hefty sum. We talk about how beneficial they are in our animal husbandry guide, but here's the TL;DR of what you need to get started:

  • Buy the biggest chicken coop
  • Buy 10 roosters and 100 chickens
  • Make sure to keep their food topped up
  • Profit $$$

Chickens aren’t entirely hands-off, mind. You'll have to load pallets into the back of your truck or into the truck-towable pallet trailer found in the store’s Misc tab for about $10,000. Luckily, the best part is that a full pallet of eggs doesn’t require a forklift to load.

Once you cap out at 360 chickens in a coop, you’ll average about 2,800L of eggs per day (2 pallets). Considering the average exchange rate for eggs, that equates to roughly $5,600 per day

Also remember that because roosters will repopulate coop numbers, you can sell some chickens as you reach the coop population cap. And finally, you can buy more than one coop to speed things along, just remember to keep supply and demand in mind. Oversaturation will cause prices to drop.

Take On Contracts for Fast Money

If you find that you're done with your farm chores but there's a lot of daylight left, consider taking on a few contracts to boost your bank account. Contracts can be a great way to earn money fast and learn a thing or two about Farming Simulator 22.

You can find contracts for all kinds of jobs, from harvesting and bailing to plowing and fertilizing. Another added benefit to taking contracts for cash is that it lets you rent equipment to do the job for a very cheap fixed price, so there's no wear and tear on your tools. It's a great chance to try out other equipment you might not normally try if, too.

You can find the contracts tab in the main menu; it's the set of papers icon above the logistics tab and below the animals' tab. Depending on the season, the contracts can range wildly so make sure to check frequently.

Get Into Fabric Production

The new production chain system in Farming Simulator 22 has added some great new opportunities for diversifying how you make money. Gone are the days of harvest to sell point, with the ability to take your grains to the flour mill, your cotton to the spinnery, olives to the oil mill, and so on.

While there are many things to produce in FS 22, one of the most lucrative production chains is cotton -> fabric -> clothing. In a normal economy setting, the average price difference between raw cotton and clothing is roughly $10,000/L.

You'll have to invest in sheep and a sheep barn for $97,000, as well as a spinnery and a tailor shop for $160,000, but you can mitigate investment costs somewhat by picking up a used harvester for about 30% below retail average. Once you get production up and running, you'll line your pockets without much effort.

While this isn’t an exhaustive list of ways to stack your bank account to the ceiling in Farming Simulator 22, they're some of the best methods for earning money fast. If you have a favorite money-making tip share it below, and make sure to check out our other FS 22 guides for more helpful farming content!

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl How to Get Drifloon Fri, 03 Dec 2021 21:43:57 -0500 Josh Broadwell

Getting Drifloon in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is different from how you obtain any other Pokemon in the game. This 'mon only available once per week, and showing up on time is the only way to obtain it. Whether finding it is worth your time depends on what you want for your best team, though.

This Pokemon BDSP guide tells you everything you need to know about how to get Drifloon and if they, and their evolution Drifblim, are worth all the work to add to your Pokedex.

How to Get Drifloon in Pokemon BDSP

Drifloon shows up on Fridays outside the Valley Windworks. It won’t start appearing until you defeat Team Galactic and clear them out of the area, though, so don’t plan on using it in your challenge against the nefarious bowl-cut gangsters.

Wait until Friday rolls around again, and go back to the Windworks. You’ll find one there waiting.

The Ghost/Flying type has a substantial amount of HP and won’t be captured easily. Bring plenty of balls to catch this one.

This is the only Drifloon you’ll find. If you want more, you’ll have to bring it and a Ditto to the Pokemon Nursery and wait for the balloon and goo blob to create an Egg. Just don’t ask how it works (because nobody knows).

Is Drifloon Worth It in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

Drifloon and its evolution, Drifblim, are interesting choices if you want something different for your team, but they’re also difficult to recommend. Slow speed and middling stats for both attack and special attack mean it’s not the best Ghost Pokemon. It’s frail too, though makes up for low defense with an almost literal ton of HP.

On the bright side, you can teach Drifblim plenty of surprise moves, including Electric and Psychic types, to keep your opponents guessing.

That’s all you need to know about how to get Drifloon in Pokemon BDSP, but make sure to check out our other Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl guides for more tips and tricks.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Honey Tree Spawn List Fri, 03 Dec 2021 16:19:05 -0500 Josh Broadwell

Honey Trees in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are your ticket to rare Pokemon, or they are if you’re lucky. And if you are, you'll want to know which 'mon you can get from these spawn points.

This guide contains a complete list of the Pokemon you can get from Honey Trees and how to attract them. It also contains all of the locations for Honey Trees in Pokemon BDSP.

The 21 of them scattered around Sinnoh have a chance of attracting some unique critters, including Munchlax and Heracross, though you’ll likely go through a fair bit of Honey before you encounter them.

How to Attract Pokemon to Honey Trees in BDSP

Honey Trees are golden and slightly rounded, making them pretty hard to miss. You’ll need to slather Honey on them, obviously, and you’ll get the chance to do that after clearing Team Galactic out of the Valley Windworks.

Speak with the man in Floaroma’s flower meadow, and he’ll let you buy Honey by the jar or in packs of 10. Always buy the packs of 10. Having to go back to Floaroma if you run out is a nuisance.

After you slather a tree, it takes six real-world hours until a Pokemon comes shuffling along to a Honey Tree. You’ll have a full day from that point to come back and check the tree before the ‘mon leaves, so try to keep up with where you’ve slathered.

Once you unlock map filters, you can use the town map to scroll through which trees have Honey, which ones are bare, and what trees have Pokemon visitors waiting for you.

What Pokemon Appear at Honey Trees? A Complete List

There’s a small set of Pokemon you’ll potentially come across at Honey Trees. The Grand Underground means most of them are no longer exclusive to the trees, but if you’re lucky, you can nab them early with Honey.

Pokemon BDSP have normal Honey Trees and special Honey Trees, though it’s random which trees end up being classed as special trees.

Munchlax will only appear from a special tree, though any other Pokemon has a chance of appearing at either kind. You can tell it’s a rare Pokemon if the tree is shaking violently.

All Honey Tree Pokemon

  • Heracross: Rare encounter
  • Aipom: Normal and rare encounter
  • Munchlax: Only the Munchlax tree
  • Wurmple: Standard and rare encounters
  • Silcoon: Standard encounters, only in Brilliant Diamond
  • Cascoon: Standard encounters, only in Shining Pearl
  • Combee: Standard and rare encounters
  • Cherubi: Standard and rare encounters
  • Burmy:  Standard and rare encounters
Pokemon BDSP Honey Tree Locations

Sinnoh has more than 20 Honey Trees on its various lanes and byways. Here’s where you’ll find them:

  • Route 205 (x2)
  • Roue 206
  • Route 207
  • Route 208
  • Route 209
  • Route 210 (x2)
  • Route 215
  • Route 214
  • Route 213
  • Route 212 (x2)
  • Route 218
  • Route 211
  • Route 222
  • Route 221
  • Valley Windworks
  • Eterna Forest
  • Floaroma Meadow
  • Fuego Ironworks

Given the spread, it’s usually best to wait until you have Fly, so you can synchronize when each tree gets slathered and have an easier time checking them all.

That’s all you need to know about Honey Trees in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but check out our other Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl guides for more tips and tricks.

FFXIV Endwalker: Is There a Fix For the Unable to Perform Version Check Error? Fri, 03 Dec 2021 22:49:10 -0500 Hayes Madsen

As with any MMO expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker has seen users run into their fair share of bugs and errors. One of the more common errors with XIV's expansions is "Unable to Perform Version Check," which tends to pop up because of the massive updates to the game. But is there a fix for the error?

If you find yourself running into the "Unable to Perform Version Check" error, this FFXIV guide has a few tips for getting around it. Though, they aren't guaranteed fixes.

How to Potentially Fix Unable to Perform Version Check Error in FFXIV Endwalker

There's one fix you'll want to try first if you run into the "Unable to Perform Version Check" error, and it seems to work for most players. Here are the steps, which you can also see in the image above.

  • Open Documents folder
  • Click on "My Games," then open Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn
  • Open the file named “FFXIV_BOOT
  • In the notepad document that opens, look for the line "BootVersionCheckMode," which will display a value of zero. Change the value to "1"

After you've done this, open the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and see if it allows you to connect to the game. Keep in mind, of course, there's a chance that this fix won't work. If you keep getting "Unable to Perform Version Check", here are a few other things to try.

  • Completely restart your PC and then try launching the game again
  • Uninstall and reinstall Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn
  • Try connecting to a different WiFi or Hotspot
  • Use a VPN to launch Final Fantasy XIV

If none of these fixes work and eliminate the version check error, you might just have to wait a while before you try launching the game again. Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker is experiencing huge numbers of players with its launch, so problems are bound to go on for a least a little while

And those are the potential fixes for the "Unable to Perform Version Check" error in FFXIV: Endwalker, just one of several causing issues for the expansion right after launch. FFXIV Endwalker Unable to Obtain Character Data: What Does It Mean? Fri, 03 Dec 2021 15:04:54 -0500 Ashley Shankle

Every single FFXIV player has run into the game telling them it is unable to obtain character data, and it's given all of us pause at one point or another. Luckily, this error is no big deal at all — even with the Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker launch.

FFXIV: What is the Unable to Obtain Character Data Error?

Unlike the 2002 error that can make it hard to login when the servers are under severe strain, the "Unable to obtain character data" error has no actual impact on your game. It also doesn't impact your ability to select a character and login.

Players may have the game tell them it is unable to obtain character data when:

  • The servers are overloaded
  • Just when their internet connection isn't all that great

They log in, click to start, get to the character selection screen with the unable to obtain character data error, and can still get into the game just fine.

This error only pertains to the game's ability to load your characters' data from the servers at that time, and it only relates to the character selection screen. You can select a character and log in just fine, even if the game tells you it is unable to obtain character data.

Meaning there's no cause for concern, unlike the "Unable to Perform Version Check" error, which is a bit more vexing.

It can be annoying to run into this, but it happens to some players so frequently it doesn't even give them pause (myself being one of them). Just click on through and don't give the unable to obtain character data error much thought.

FFXIV: How to Unlock Bozjan Southern Front Fri, 03 Dec 2021 22:26:29 -0500 Hayes Madsen

The Bozjan Southern Front is a new large-scale instance introduced post-Shadowbringers in Final Fantasy XIV. It's part of the Save The Queen storyline, and it is a fantastic way to boost classes up to Level 80. It has a great storyline to boot, making it a must-experience instance. But how do you unlock it?

This FFXIV guide will tell you exactly how to do that so you can not only get closer to Level 80 but also help out the Bozjan Resistance. Here's what you need to know about unlocking the Bozjan Southern Front.

Unlocking the Bozjan Southern Front in Final Fantasy XIV

To access Bozja, you'll need to own a copy of Shadowbringers, and have completed the Main Scenario Quests up through  “Vows of Virtue, Deeds of Cruelty.” You'll also need one of your classes or characters to be Level 71 at least to participate in the instance.

Once you have all of that, head on over to Rhalgr’s Reach, where you can pick up a quest called "The Bozja Incident" from an Ironworks Engineer at (X:11.8, Y:11.8). This quest is followed by another called "Fire in the Forge," which then unlocks a new area called Gangos.

You can get to Gangos by going to the Doman Enclave, heading to the docks, and talking to the Airship pilot.

Now that you're in Gangos, you have one final step before you can head into the Bozja Southern Front. Find Marsak (X:6.4, Y:5.7) and complete the quest “Where Eagles Nest," which will finally give you access to the Bozjan Southern Front.

Talk to Sjeros, who's standing right at the docks, and choose the Bozjan Southern Front option.

This will put you into a unique instance of a massive battlefield. There are tutorial missions to walk you through the basics of Bozja, but basically, you'll be participating in FATEs and Critical Engagement across the field to raise a resource called Mettle, which will then unlock more content as you level up.

The Bozjan Southern Front is quite the time investment, but now that you're there you can chip in a few hours whenever you have time. For even more tips on the main game, and Endwalker, make sure to check out our FFXIV guides hub

FFXIV Endwalker: Where is the Aether Compass? Fri, 03 Dec 2021 14:04:53 -0500 Ashley Shankle

In FFXIV, the Aether Compass is your key to finding every Aether Current to learn how to fly in new zones, and it has been since Heavensward. Now in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, you may be wondering where to find the Aether Compass since it is no longer in the Key Items bag.

Where is the Aether Compass in FFXIV?

No one could blame you for being confused when you look in your Key Item bag and find no sign of your trusty and completely unloved Aether Compass.

FFXIV's Aether Compass has been moved to your Collection, another inventory type that could go completely unnoticed without looking around. You can find it by clicking Duty in the primary menu (where you may click to reach the Duty Finder normally), and then clicking on Collection.

You don't have to access this menu each time you want to use your Aether Compass to seek out nearby Aether Currents. You can drag it onto a hotbar for quick and easy access while you're running around Sharlayan or even lower expansion zones trying to unlock flying.

That's it for how to find the Aether Compass in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Check out some of our other FFXIV guides here on GameSkinny.

FFXIV: How to Get Scaevan Gear & Allagan Tomestones of Poetics Fri, 03 Dec 2021 14:55:38 -0500 Hayes Madsen

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker has a wealth of different gear to choose from, but Scaevan gear is one of the absolute best. And you don't even need Endwalker to get it! But with Reaper and Sage introduced in the new expansion, you'll need to get your hands on even more gear since both new jobs start out at Level 70.

If you're here, you're wondering how to get your hands on Scaevan gear in FFXIV. This guide has you covered. Here's everything you need to know about it to start your Endwalker journey off right.

Where to Find Augmented Scaevan Gear in Final Fantasy XIV

To get Scaevan gear, you don't actually have to own Endwalker, but you'll need to have a Level 70 character and have been through the Main Scenario of Stormblood. That Level 70 threshold is also required for unlocking Reaper and unlocking Sage, but you'll need to own the latest expansion to play as them, mind.

Once you've met the pre-requisites for Scaevan gear, you should head to Rhalgr’s Reach, then go to the room on the right side of the map with all the merchants. To get Scaevan Gear, you'll want to talk to Enna (armor) and Eschina (weapons).

Augmented Scaevan gear will generally keep you good until about Level 75, at which point you'll want to think about upgrading.

Note: At this time, Final Fantasy XIV has removed basic Scaevan gear, and you can now only purchase Augmented Scaevan gear by using Allagan Tomestones of Poetics. For 2,000 Tomestones you can almost purchase a full set of gear, and luckily, Tomestones aren't too hard to earn.

How to Earn Allagan Tomestones of Poetics

Final Fantasy XIV provides a variety of ways to earn Tomestones of Poetics, and you'll earn quite a bit by just naturally playing the game. Though there are plenty of ways to get these for Scaevan gear, the best way of earning Allagan Tomestones is by doing Duty Roulettes, as most of them will reward you. Here are the amounts you get by simply completing each roulette.

  • Level 50/60/70/80 Dungeons  100 Allagan Tomestones
  • Main Scenario  300  Allagan Tomestones
  • Alliance Raids  120 Allagan Tomestones
  • Normal Raids  80 Allagan Tomestones

You'll also receive Tomestones for simply completing any dungeon Level 50 or above, and most trials above Level 60. The same goes for regular and Alliance Raids completed outside of the roulette.

While those will be your main ways of earning Allagan Tomestones of Poetics for Scaevan gear, here are a few others if you need to wrack up more.

  • Complete Wondrous Tails  Allagan Tomestones of Poetics are a possible reward for completing a Wondrous Tails journal, which you get from Khloe in  Idyllshire.
  • Complete Beast Tribe Quests  Beast Tribe Quests from A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood will all net you a few Allagan Tomestones.
  • Hunt Trains  Completing Hunt Trains and taking down A or S rank monsters will net you a good few Allagan Tomestones.
  • Notorious Monsters in Eureka  If you head to the special instanced zone of Eureka you can complete FATEs there to take down Notorious Monsters and earn some Tomestones.

That covers everything you need to know about getting Scaevan Gear and Allagan Tomestones in Final Fantasy XIV. For even more help on the main game, and Endwalker, make sure to check out our FFXIV guides hub

FFXIV Endwalker: How to Unlock Sage Fri, 03 Dec 2021 06:05:44 -0500 Ashley Shankle

You'll have to unlock Sage in FFXIV to get started with this new healer. Sage is one of the two new classes added to the jobs roster in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (the expansion also includes a new melee DPS class with Reaper). For those in the healer profession, this stands alongside Scholar as a shield-focused class, rather than a regen-focused one like White Mage and Astrologian.

If you're here, you're wondering how to unlock Sage in FFXIV: Endwalker. Luckily, there isn't too much you'll have to do if you're already at Level 70 or higher.

How to Unlock Sage in FFXIV: Endwalker

Final Fantasy XIV has had a long history of having new classes unlock new quests in one of Eorzea's primary three city-states. With Endwalker, Sage is no different.

To unlock this new healing class, you need to both own the Endwalker expansion and have at least one character up to Level 70 or above. If you don't have either, you won't be able to unlock Sage, and you'll have to wait to give the game's newest healer a whirl.

When you meet those criteria, the unlock quest, Sage's Path, will become available. It can be found in the Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks, at the coordinates (9.4,12.9).

When you arrive at the coordinates, speak with Sharlayan Maiden, who will let you begin the questline. Look for the big blue quest marker if you're having trouble. After an introductory quest, you'll have the Sage job stone, and the class will be unlocked for you to choose it and play.

And that's how you unlock the Sage class in FFXIV: Endwalker. It really is that simple, especially if you already have a class at Level 70 or higher. If not, you could spend a little time on previous content in expansions like Shadowbringers or Stormblood to get ready. For more tips, consider checking out our FFXIV guides hub, where we have tons of help articles for the base game and every expansion.

FFXIV Endwalker: How to Unlock Reaper Fri, 03 Dec 2021 06:05:47 -0500 Ashley Shankle

You'll want to unlock Reaper in FFXIV before you can play it. The Reaper is one of two new classes to Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Its flashy Voidsent-imbued abilities, and the fact it's the first melee DPS class to be added to the roster in some time, make it the far more anticipated addition to the MMORPG than the healing-focused Sage.

This quick FFXIV: Endwalker guide will tell you how to unlock Reaper and get started with this job as quickly as possible. If you're already close to or at the level cap, you won't have to do too much at all.

How to Unlock Reaper in FFXIV: Endwalker

In order to unlock the Reaper class, you'll need to both own Endwalker and have at least one class up to Level 70 already. If you fit both of those criteria, you can move forward with adding this class to your belt. There are only two things left to do: find an NPC and complete a questline.

The NPC needed to unlock the Reaper class can be found in Ul'dah, at the Steps of Nald. The Flustered Attendant is located at the coordinates (12.8,8.6) near the Quicksands. Their location can be seen on the map below.

Interact with the NPC to receive the quest, The Killer Instinct. Complete that quest, and you'll have FFXIV's newest melee class unlocked and ready to play.

Note that this class begins at Level 70, so you won't be able to

And that's how you unlock the Reaper class in FFXIV: Endwalker. It really is that simple, especially if you already have a class at Level 70 or higher. If not, you could spend a little time on previous content in expansions like Shadowbringers or Stormblood to get ready. FFXIV Endwalker: Is There a Fix For Lobby Server Connection Error Code 2002? Fri, 03 Dec 2021 05:26:33 -0500 Ashley Shankle

Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker launch day is here, but lobby server connection error code 2002 is plaguing players hoping to hop in. The annoying error, which reads "The lobby server connection has encountered an error," pops up when players try to enter the character selection screen and while in the queue. If you're here, you're probably wondering if there's a fix.

What is Lobby Server Connection Error Code 2002?

The lobby server connection 2002 error code means that the servers are overloaded, as is the custom on launch day in MMORPGs (and heck, many multiplayer games these days). FFXIV Endwalker is no different, with droves of players trying to queue and get in. Unfortunately, there is no way to get around lobby server connection error 2002 because of that. It's a server-side bottleneck, and there isn't much to be done.

With that in mind, there is no "fix" for this issue currently. Right now, the only thing you can do is to keep trying to get into the game, which can be particularly frustrating as it kicks you out of the client even when you are in queue.

Square Enix have addressed the lobby server error on Twitter, requesting that players be patient and wait before trying to get in again once they receive the code.

Related guides:

It's expected that the lobby server connection error 2002 will hang around for a while considering how many folks are jumping into FFXIV: Endwalker. Since it's related to server capacity on the developer side of things and traffic is high, there's no fix to be had client-side. it's just something we'll have to live with for now. Be patient, and we'll all get in there soon enough.

Battlefield 2042: Unable to Load Persistence Data Error Potential Fix Fri, 03 Dec 2021 12:06:11 -0500 Sergey_3847

If you're running into the unable to load persistence data error in Battlefield 2042, you aren't alone. BF 2042 has had many (many) issues at and after launch, and most of those bugs are in one way or another connected with servers problems. One of the most common errors that players have been experiencing since launch deals with both servers and parts of the game's multiplayer suite.

This Battlefield 2042 guide will provide you with the only possible fix for the "Unable to Load Persistence Data" error. And even that may not work depending on various factors.

It is currently known that this error is caused by either the servers or the game's crossplay functionality, which is yet to be fixed by the developer.

How to Potentially Fix the Unable to Load Persistence Data Error in Battlefield 2042

EA has just released a new patch for Battlefield 2042, fixing a good deal of the game's issues. But it looks like the "Unable to Load Persistence Data" error is still occurring for many players, forcing them out of multiplayer sessions.

Before trying the following method for potentially fixing this bug, first check out the Battlefield 2042 server status webpages:

If the error statuses of the servers are high, then the following fix will probably not help at all.

The main cause for the "Unable to Load Persistence Data" bug besides server issues is Battlefield 2042's cross-platform play. To test and see if the instance you're running into is, in fact, server-related, turn off crossplay

  1. Go to the game's main screen
  2. Click on the "Options" menu
  3. Select the "General" tab
  4. Go to the "Other" section
  5. Toggle off the "Crossplay" feature

If the game still shows you the same error message, even after disabling crossplay, then just keep trying to start the game until it lets you into the matchmaking.

Of course, you could always try restarting the game and rebooting your PC or console if you're met with "unable to load persistence data." But that likely won't help things considering where the problem lies.

That's all you need to know about the "Unable to Load Persistence Data" bug in Battlefield 2042. This isn't a definitive fix for the error code since it's related to server capacity. It will be, er, persistent until EA adds servers or traffic dies down. If you're looking for more guides in Battlefield 2042, then check out our dedicated hub page.

Battlefield 2042 Matchmaking Errors: Potential Fixes Guide Fri, 03 Dec 2021 12:33:34 -0500 Sergey_3847

Battlefield 2042 has a number of matchmaking errors keeping players from jumping into the game's various modes, like Conquest and Hazard Zone. These show up as a variety of error codes, including 15-7A, 600P:4C, 2002G, 15:1102P:1101P, 2:1401J:1100I:-8A, and 1004G. If you've run into any of these messages, there are some potential fixes that may get you around them. But none of them are surefire.

This help guide will attempt to provide you with many of the possible matchmaking error fixes for Battlefield 2042. Of course, EA should be working on official patches for many of these matchmaking errors over the coming weeks and months, so hopefully, they'll iron themselves out with more updates.

Since these matchmaking errors could also be because of the Battlefield 2042 servers or, ironically, even a patch, be sure to keep an eye on the official Twitter page of the Battlefield Direct Communications team for the current progress of any bug fixes.

Potential Fixes for the Battlefield 2042 Matchmaking Error

Clear Your Download Cache

One potential culprit keeping you from playing Battlefield 2042 multiplayer and presenting you with matchmaking errors is also one of the easiest to fix. Clearing your download cache is basic, but it also has the potential to relieve many different problems.

Whether you're playing via Steam or Origin, here's how to clear your download cache:

Clear Your Cache on Steam

  1. Start the Steam app
  2. Click on the "Settings" menu in the top left corner
  3. Select the "Downloads" tab
  4. Click on the "Clear Download Cache" button on the bottom
  5. Confirm by clicking "OK"

Clear Your Cache on Origin

  1. Start the EA Desktop app
  2. Click on the three dashes button in the top left corner
  3. Select "Help" feature
  4. Click on "App Recovery" option
  5. Select "Clear Cache" option

Update Your Game to the Latest Version

The latest patch has fixed the Matchmaking Failed error code 1:4688822970:15021. But if you're still getting matchmaking errors, then this means that you need to update your game.

You can turn on the automatic updates for Battlefield 2042 in your Steam client like this:

  1. Go to your Steam app
  2. Select "Library" tab
  3. Right-click on the Battlefield 2042 game
  4. Select "Properties" from the list
  5. Select "Updates" tab
  6. Choose "Always Keep This Game Updated" feature

If you're playing on the EA Desktop app, then simply restart the app for all the updates to start automatically and hopefully clear any matchmaking errors.

Disable Crossplay Mode

Lastly, you can try and disable the cross-platform crossplay functionality in the game settings to get around matchmaking errors. Having this enabled has also caused other errors to appear, such as the "unable to load persistence data" message.

To turn off crossplay:

  1. Go to the game's main screen
  2. Click on the "Options" menu
  3. Select the "General" tab
  4. Go to the "Other" section
  5. Toggle off the "Crossplay" feature

Skyrim: How to Get the Wooden Mask Fri, 03 Dec 2021 14:38:03 -0500 Gavin Burtt

There are 10 Dragon Priest Masks to be found in the wide world of SkyrimMost of these masks provide buffs to the player when worn, with one exception — the Wooden Mask. It does something different.

The Wooden Mask does not help you with combat, agility, or regeneration. Instead, it acts as a key when worn, used to access the Dragon Priest Shrine, where the most powerful mask can be found.

In this Skyrim guide, we'll tell you where to find the Wooden Mask, as well as how you can use it.

Where to Find the Wooden Mask in Skyrim

The Wooden Mask can be found at Labyrinthian, which is located between Whiterun Hold and Hjaalmarch in a mountain pass, southeast of Morthal.

When you reach these ruins, enter through from the north side by climbing the main staircase. You'll know you are entering from the right way if you see a small, broken wooden cart on the left side of the path.

Follow this same path to the small circular building directly in front of you. Enter the right door of this broken-down building, and follow the hallway around to the opposite side, where you should find an entrance to the center of the ruin.

On the far side of this room, you will find the remains of an old thug, alongside a note that you can choose to read if you please. Between the skeleton's legs, you can find the Wooden Mask, sitting on the floor to take. This is the only Dragon Priest Mask in the game that doesn't require you to fight anything to obtain.

What Purpose Does the Wooden Mask Serve?

The Wooden Mask is technically light armor. It's no dragonscale armor, but protection is far from its main purpose. It has an enchantment labeled "Bromjunaar's Mystery".

Equipping it while in this central barrow of the Labyrinthian will transport you back in time to before the sanctuary was destroyed, when the Dragon Priest Shrine was still in one piece.

In the restored Dragon Priest Shrine, you can place your other obtained Dragon Priest Masks on the shrine, and once all are collected and placed on display, the most powerful one — the Konahrik Mask, one of the best items in the game — will appear for you to take. Once it has been taken, you can remove the other masks you placed and keep them for yourself.

That should be just about everything you need to know to find the Wooden Mask in Skyrim. If you're looking to learn more about this massive RPG, consider checking out our guides hub to do exactly that!

Solar Ash: How to Farm Plasma and Increase Your Health Fri, 03 Dec 2021 13:52:53 -0500 John Schutt

You’ll want to farm plasma and increase your health in Solar Ash since you can only take two hits when you start a new game. Being able to take more hits will keep you out of the checkpoint and cut down on backtracking and retracing too much.

Plasma is the currency you need to increase your health, and you’ll see the stuff everywhere. It usually lives as bright red globules all across the map. There are several other ways to get your hands on it, and you’ll want as much as you can find.

This Solar Ash guide has all the info you’ll need to farm plasma to maximize your gains and keep your health bar full.

How to Farm Plasma in Solar Ash

If farming plasma is your primary purpose in Solar Ash, you’ll want Erving’s suit. Check out our guide to unlocking it right here.

Wearing Erving’s suit doubles the value of any plasma pickups you find. Globules go from 1 unit to 2 units, most enemies go from 15 units to 30 units, and so on. Heart Machine uses this health resource heavily as a trail of bread crumbs, leading you to objectives and secrets.

You’ll also find boxes of various appearances scattered about the game’s levels. They look different depending on the environment, but all of them grant between 5 and 10 plasma when broken. Like the globules, crates respawn whenever you reload a checkpoint, but the plasma in them will be on a cooldown.

Killing enemies is another great way to farm plasma, as even the weakest give 15 units when destroyed. The larger enemies grant more for the additional challenge. Defeated enemies won’t respawn until you lose all your health and receive the Destroyed message or load into a new area and return, so as long as you don’t, you can clear out entire levels for exploration.

The most valuable plasma sources are large crystals of the stuff hidden throughout the Ultravoid. Some of these crystals are easy to find, others have short platforming puzzles protecting them. Still, others are hidden away from sight, and you’ll really need to look to find them. They don’t respawn once destroyed, so the 150 plasma they hold is a one-time infusion for your health stores.

Your best plasma farming method, then, revolves around having two or three levels available and fast traveling between them, then clearing high-density areas again and again. You don’t want a place with too many annoyingly placed enemies. Instead, focus on finding areas with lots of little guys surrounded by boxes and globules.

If you're trophy or achievement hunting, you will need to collect this health resource for the Plasma Drive (1,000 units), Plasma Overdrive (5,000 units), and Universal Donor (10,000 units) trophies/achievements.

How to Increase Your Health in Solar Ash

Meet with Cyd, your friendly Ultravoid AI, to improve your health. You can add four additional health cells to your bar with a starting price of 1,000 plasma, ending with a hefty tag of 3,000 plasma. You’ll need to clear the Crater to upgrade the first time, after which you can do so at any of Cyd’s conduits. Be sure to pick up the hidden Voidrunner stash while you're there.

Here’s the catch: every time you defeat a Remnant boss, Echo will break your most expensive cell upgrade, forcing you to repurchase it. This happens five times, so depending on how much you’ve invested in your health, you could be spending upwards of 10,000 plasma to keep yourself topped off.

Don’t worry about losing any more health cells once you’ve completed the game. Without Remnants to summon you to Echo, the game has no way of taking health cells from you, and you can collect as much plasma as you like.

You won’t have a use for it, sadly, but hey, number go up, serotonin go up, right?

New Dying Light 2 Trailer Shows Extended Look at Gameplay Thu, 02 Dec 2021 18:30:52 -0500 Josh Broadwell

Techland debuted an extensive new look at Dying Light 2 gameplay with a new trailer, including the entirety of the quest A Place to Call Home. It's a mix of familiar Dying Light staples, including parkour and running for dear life when the infected are around, but there's plenty new to see as well.

One of the standout differences between Dying Light 2 and its predecessor is just how colorful the city is. Dying Light was 50 shades of brown in many ways, especially on Nintendo Switch, but the city in Dying Light 2 is bursting with color.

Neon lights shine in the darkness after a successful operation restores power to the city, trees dot the rooftop landscape, and we can even spy some flowers blooming at the end of the civilization.

Then there's the combat. A Place to Call Home's main objective is the usual "travel to place A and accomplish task B," but you encounter more than just zombies along the way. There's plenty of them, but during the day, you can run past them easily enough. The real danger is the human faction you fight along the way.

We knew from earlier announcements and our hands-on time with the game that Dying Light 2 makes movement essential in combat, and the new trailer shows just how true that is. The protagonist leaps over foes, squashes them as he lands, and even grapples them closer to get the upper hand.

In short, there's a lot going on in Dying Light 2 on many levels. Now the game has gone gold, we won't have to wait much longer to experience it either. Dying Light 2 releases on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on February 4, 2022, and a cloud version for Nintendo Switch launches the same day. Check out our interview with Narrative Director Piotr Szymanek to see how the real Dark Ages inspires Dying Light 2.

Solar Ash Luminous Peak Voidrunner Stashes: How to Unlock Tufte's Suit Thu, 02 Dec 2021 18:46:51 -0500 John Schutt

The final area in Solar AshLuminous Peak, has 6 Voidrunner stashes. Collecting them all rewards Tufte's suit, Shepherd's Calling, the only suit offering an active ability. With this suit equipped, you can activate your multitool scanner not only to pinpoint anomalies but also to highlight any Voidrunner collectibles you might have missed.

This Solar Ash guide will give you everything you need to find the Voidrunner stashes in Luminous Peak and get Tufte's suit.

As with the other cache collectibles in Solar Ash, finding the locations for these will go toward your total for the Reliquarian trophy/achievement. And getting the first one here will give you the trophy or achievement for Hobbyist Archaeologist if you don't already have it.

Luminous Peak Voidrunner Stash: How to Unlock Tufte's Suit in Solar Ash

One of the most linear levels in the game, Luminous Peak is treacherous. Rather than acid, the hazard zones here are lava. Touching said lava even a little bit will send you straight back to a checkpoint with one less health to show for it.

The platforming here is also the most precise in the game, with blind jumps, long high-speed sections, and more mind-bending perspective shifts. So be careful as you make your way to these Voidrunner stashes for Tufte's suit.

Luminous Peak Voidrunner Stash 1

You'll find the first Voidrunner stash early in the level. Your first landmark is a red spore door.

Follow the path straight until you see a Voidrunner symbol pointing left.

Follow the cliff face up until you see climbable sludge.

Ascend and follow the platform across a pair of chasms. The Voidrunner stash sits at the end of the path.

Tufte's Suit Stash 2

Continue through this area of Luminous Peak (there's only one path for now) until you reach a lava cave.

To reach the collectible at the other end, take a right and follow the path up the climbable sludge. Continue making your way up, keeping left after the sludge, past a red fungal spore.

Eventually, you'll reach a dead end. You'll see the Voidrunner symbol hanging on the cliffside.

Climb the last bit of sludge down and around until you can drop into the cave with the stash.

Tufte's Suit Stash 3

Return to the cave checkpoint and make your way around to the red spore vent. Activate it if you haven't already and grind down to the floating island with the large smokestack. A Voidrunner symbol decorates a ruin there.

There will be a large fungal structure there that, when hit, catapults you into the air. Use it to shoot yourself above the ruin on the island so you land atop it. The collectible lives there.

Note: The fungal structure is missing in my game after the boss fight with the Remnant. Be sure to pick up this Voidrunner stash, or you may miss it.

Tufte's Suit Stash 4

Continue through Luminous Peak, past Cyd, and up until you reach a huge, hollow tower. Make your way into it.

You'll pass a red spore vent early on, but keep going. You'll jump over two small gaps then need to turn around to see the red fungal growth you can activate.

Carry the red spores to the vent to generate a tentacle.

Grind up to reach this Luminous Peak Voidrunner stash.

Tufte's Suit Stash 5

Past the tower, you'll follow a linear path through the level, eventually crossing under arches with red crystal keystones. You'll reach a checkpoint with a plasma-laden path leading left. Take it.

Continue, and you'll see the Voidrunner stash out in the open, guarded by ground spikes.

Go past the stash and make your way to the end of the path. Hit the anomaly growth to rid the ground of spikes and collect the stash, your fifth in Luminous Peak.

Tufte's Suit Stash 6

This is the last Voidrunner collectible before getting Tufte's suit.

Your path remains linear, eventually culminating in a long tentacle leading up to a lava globe. Continue up through the area until you reach a large space filled with enemies. The stash is right out in the open near the checkpoint, but snipers guard it.

There's a plasma trail leading away from the checkpoint. Follow it until you reach a grapple point. Take it up to the climbable sludge and defeat the first sniper.

Climb to the top of the column you're on and grapple across to more sludge until you can't go any further. There will be another grapple point that will launch you around the floating structure.

The trouble with the jump is somewhat blind, so once you feel like you've made it around the wall, grapple and take out the sniper.

From here, grapple twice from the high column and latch onto the climbable sludge, avoiding the sniper until it's within reach of your attacks.

With all the enemies cleared, collect the final stash to unlock Tufte's suit, Shepherd's Calling.
