The event, dubbed TwitchCon, will take place over two days from Friday, September 25th through Saturday, September 26th at Moscone West in San Francisco, California.

According to a statement from Twitch CEO Emmett Shear via the press release, the convention will give broadcasters and their loyal fans a chance to meet along with game developers.

“Twitch broadcasters have the most passionate fans, so we want to create an amazing experience where they can come together in person,” said Emmett Shear, CEO, Twitch. “TwitchCon will be an opportunity for the entire community – broadcasters, game developers, viewers, and us – to play and learn together.”

No other details were released, although more information will be available at a later date. To get updates, either sign up for updates with your email address at the all-new official TwitchCon website or follow them on Twitter @twitchconsf.

Fans can now meet the players they watch playing League of Legends or Hearthstone for 16 hours a day. TwitchCon can also create some positive buzz instead of the focus being on idiots “Swatting” broadcasts.
