Pokemon TCG is back with the new Rebel Clash set, which includes new V and VMAX Pokemon. These are the 15 best.

After the huge success that was the Sword and Shield expansion, The Pokemon Company's Pokemon TCG has a brand-new follow-up: Rebel Clash.

The new set consists of 209 cards, which include Generation VIII, Pokemon V, and Pokemon VMAX cards. Rebel Clash features new Pokemon like Rillaboom, Cinderace, and Inteleon from the Galar region.

These Pokemon come in basic V forms, which can evolve into VMAX Pokemon that are some of the most overpowered cards yet.

This guide showcases 15 of the best Rebel Clash cards, including Pokemon and supporter and energy cards.

Dragapult VMAX

The new and evolved Dragapult VMAX is going to be a serious threat this season. It's a psychic Pokemon that has Max Phantom ability, which spreads five damage counters across the opponent's benched Pokemon.

Spread damage has always been super powerful in many top-tier decks, but this looks like the best spread-damage Pokemon yet.

Also, it has a massive HP pool and enough attack power to deal with almost any kind of threat on the table.

Eldegoss V

This fluffy Pokemon is very similar to one of the most powerful cards from the Guardians Rising expansion: Tapu Lele GX. Just like Tapu Lele, this Pokemon is searching for supporter cards, but instead of looking through your deck, it brings back supporters from your discard pile using the Happy Match ability.

This is definitely going to be a new staple V card in the Rebel Clash meta, as supporter recovery effects have always been extensively used throughout archetypes.

Boss's Orders

Speaking of supporter cards, the best supporter in Rebel Clash is clearly Boss's Orders. This is actually a functional reprint of the Lysandre card from the Flashfire expansion, and just like Lysandre, this card will be played until it rotates out.

It's also interesting to note that veteran players call the effect of Boss's Orders "gusting," which originates from the Gust of Wind card that was printed way back in the Base Set.

Toxtricity VMAX

This Pokemon's G-Max Riot ability is asking to be played alongside any poisoning effect. There are two such cards in standard right now: Koga's Trap and Garbodor. Koga's Trap is a supporter from the Unbroken Bonds expansion, which not only poisons an opponent's active Pokemon but also confuses them.

There is also Garbodor from Rebel Clash that can inflict poison, but since there is a lot of support for supporter type cards, it looks like players will mostly team up Toxtricity VMAX with Koga's Trap after all.

Tool Scrapper

Tool Scrapper is a reprint of a highly valuable item card from the Dragons Exalted expansion. Many players wanted this card to return, and here it is.

There are some obnoxiously powerful tool cards in the meta right now, so it's a relief to finally see a solid tool removal in the meta. Decks that run Air Ballon and various amulet tool cards will finally meet their nemesis in the form of Tool Scrapper.

Twin Energy

Just like Counter Energy from Crimson Invasion, this card was made to balance out all non-V and non-GX Pokemon.

This means that The Pokemon Company is really pushing overwhelmingly strong decks like Welder out of the meta, without even mentioning the latest supporter ruling.

Twin Energy will play a crucial role in balancing out the standard meta by opening doors to more creative decks.

Inteleon VMAX

This little monster is the real deal when it comes to damage. For just 1 energy, it can deal 60 points of damage. Inteleon VMAX can easily KO any of the evolving basic Pokemon.

For 3 energy, it deals 160 points of damage, which is not groundbreaking, but still incredibly strong.

Besides the damage potential it has a lot of HP, which makes Inteleon VMAX an all-round great card.

Cinderace VMAX

The counter-attack here really sells Cinderace VMAX. You can take damage, then heal, and still deal 30 plus the amount it was damaged for.

The second attack can KO Zacian V, and that is something one should never overlook  and it costs only 3 energy.

Since fire energy gets a lot of support in Rebel Clash, it makes Cinderace VMAX one of the best VMAX Pokemon in the new set.

Scoop Up Net

Obviously, this highly-specialized item card will not see play in V- or GX-based decks. However, all other archetypes will definitely find this useful, such as Galarian Zigzagoon and Inteleon with Shady Dealings.

It also works great with Shaymin EX, Ultra Necrozma, which can now avoid Shock Lock with the help of Scoop Up Net, and Wall/Stall players will absolutely love this card as well.

Speed Lightning Energy

All types of energy cards are valuable in any format. Many top-tier decks also use lightning energy, and now they can draw two extra cards with the help of Speed Lightning Energy, which is surprisingly strong.

This card will see play in Turbo PikaRom and Toxtricity VMAX lists. It's certain that all lightning-based decks would want several copies of this in their main lists.

Horror Psychic Energy

Psychic decks will embrace this card, and with the help of Spell Tag, this will be able to put up six damage counters instead of two. You can also spread this damage as you wish, which is a fantastic tool to have.

Horror Psychic Energy will see play in Malamar and Mew3 decks. This card will definitely be an excellent addition to their bag of tricks.

Galar Mine

This is a somewhat upgraded version of Team Aqua's Secret Base from the Double Crisis set.

It will be a nice addition to Cinccino decks by using Boss's Orders that can put some Pokemon into active spot and then stall them.

But there are other ways of utilizing it. For example, Krookodile decks can really make it useful with all their energy acceleration techniques. It's just a great way to make your opponent overcompensate on each active Pokemon in play.

Galarian Weezing

Ability lockers are some of the most dreaded cards in Pokemon TCG. Galarian Weezing is a new foe that many decks will hate playing against, especially the much-hyped ADP Zacian.

Galarian Weezing can shut off Zacian's Intrepid Sword ability using its Neutralizing Gas ability, which will make the Zacian player suddenly feel naked.

Severe Poison option is also quite good, as it can put four damage counters on any active Pokemon.

Sonia

Evolution decks that want to go second will find Sonia an incredibly useful supporter card.

This one will peform well regardless of the stage you're in, as it functions similarly to Roseanne's Research from Secret Wonders set, which happened to be a universal search supporter.

But of course, playing it as early as possible is much better, especially if you're playing a combo deck.

Spiritomb

Spiritbomb is a new player in the infamous ADP Zacian deck. It can potentially deal a lot of damage with the help of five counters in combination with Hustle Belt and Altered Creation GX.

If you manage to attach Big Charm to it, then the damage will rise up to 280 points, which is bonkers good.

That is a huge swing for a one-prize attacker such as Spiritomb. So don't look past its hidden potential.
