Yu-Gi-Oh Brings Back Original Legends in New Products

New decks revolving around the original players from the Yu-Gi-Oh tv series will be released by Konami in October.

Konami is honoring the original Yu-Gi-Oh T.V. series by bringing back the first legendary competitors, Yugi and Kaiba, in its Legendary Decks II set. Releasing October 7th, the set includes three 43-card decks revolving around the facelifted strategies of Yugi, Joey, and Kaiba. Defeat opponents with Blue-Eyes White Dragon, summon Exodia, and burn enemies with Red-Eyes Black Dragon. The set also includes support cards for Yugi's Dark Magician theme; Dark Burning Attack and Dark Burning Magic, as well as the Trap card Eternal Soul. Each set will be retailing for $29.99.

On October 21st, the release of the latest Structure Decks will once again highlight the rivalry between Yugi and Kaiba. Structure Deck: Yugi Muto takes Yugi's Magnet Warriors and upgrades them into Electromagnet Warriors. Structure Deck: Seto Kaiba introduces three new Union monsters to reinvent his XYZ-Dragon Cannon. Fuse A-Assault Core, B-Buster Drake, and C-Crush Wyvern to summon the new ABC-Dragon Buster. Each Structured Deck comes with the 40-card main deck, and a 5-card extra deck, retailing at $9.99 per box.

The nostalgia is ripe with these new decks. What impact do you think these cards will have on competitive play, if any?
