EA has announced that their highly anticipated revival of the classic Star Wars multiplayer game, Star Wars Battlefront, will be conducting a beta in October. The beta will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC and will center around the Walker Assault level on Hoth that was shown off at E3 2015.

The level will be able to hold up to 40 players, featuring both Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire soldiers; players will also be able to take on the roles of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, utilizing unique force powers and their legendary lightsabers.

The beta will also feature a Survival mission shown off on Tatooine. Survival is a two player co-op mode that pits you and a friend against 15 waves of Imperial forces, that gradually increase in difficulty. Battles will start against Stormtroopers before progressing to AT-STs and even TIE Fighters. This mode has the option to be played solo, but everyone knows that Battlefront games are way more fun with a buddy.

EA also teased a new mode that will be available in the beta called Drop Zone, but said that more details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Star Wars Battlefront releases on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
