Minecraft was designed to be a game that the player can use their imagination in and build the most impressive and significant things they can think of. While not everything turns out exactly how people imagine at first, the simple manner of the game means you can go back and fix or expand absolutely anything.

In order to construct such impressive things, however, the player needs the proper domain (game world). We here at GameSkinny have painstakingly compiled the 20 best seeds you, the player, can use to build the perfect building, city, fortress, or entire world with. Enjoy!

Blacksmith Treasure, Villages, and Temples

Seed: 686298914 (1.8.8)

Upon spawning into this particular seed, the player should notice a village with a blacksmith’s treasure chest located nearby. This should offer the perfect amount of diamonds, swords, and obsidian you may need to begin constructing a new domain.

Along with the village, four desert temples, six other villages, two dungeons, and stronghold are present. All of this loot should help you survive while constructing your dream locale.

The mushroom island should offer plenty of space.

Seed: 5387364523423380365 (1.8.8)

Anyone looking for some instant gratification within their game should use this Minecraft seed, as it will definitely provide in spades. You will find an entire mushroom island surrounding you, which is the perfect location for an island nation or castle fortress.

If you’re on the more creative side, however, you can even build a mushroom fortress with all of the excess giant red mushrooms surrounding the island.

The small island is a nice refuge.

Seed: 6671894640346020928 (1.8.8)

Upon entering this particular seed, the player will spawn near the edge of a gorgeous lake with a triangle-shaped island at the center. This little island is great for a small wooden cabin, or you can begin your descent into the world’s core here. Otherwise, the small lake and rivers could be a great spot for a lake-side town complete with wooden bridges spanning the width of the water.

A short walk past the island will grant you access into a dungeon where a Protection III book awaits. Plus, there’s a village nearby with a blacksmith, and a temple just a bit beyond that.

The Medieval village is a blast from the past.

Seed: 7281974495141360449 (1.8.8)

The player will enter the world within a village surrounded by hundreds of perfectly good trees ripe for chopping or punching down. This is the perfect seed for new players, or those simply looking to build something made of wood at the very beginning of the game.

The houses provided within the village can play host to a makeshift base for the time being, but the mountain nearby is the real eye-catcher here. Imaginative players will quickly turn this into a dwarf-like fortress, complete with caves, tunnels, and large chambers of stone.

The field of horses is certainly a focal point.

Seed: 8678942899319966093 (1.8.8)

Spawning into this seed will put you directly into a village with a field nearby filled to the brim with rideable horses. The horse should make movement easier, so you can discover the perfect location to build your sprawling metropolis. The field where the horses spawn could be a great location for a small stable and a Medieval-styled city.

While there aren’t a lot of trees in the immediate area, the village can be deconstructed for use for the time being. Don’t worry about those poor villagers. They have no feelings.

The rabbit hole is front and center in this seed.

Seed: 1926444278 (1.8.1)

Upon entering this new world, the player should be greeted by hordes of small rabbits, which are perfect for either pets or food. This should offer enough sustenance for the budding builder for quite some time.

Thankfully, the rabbits are all located within a decent sized field, which offers more than enough space for a bustling metropolis.

Players who don’t mind a short hike can find solace at the mountain’s peak.

Seed: 3657966 (1.8.1)

Just a small hike from where the player spawns lies a massive mountain range that could prove the perfect location for a temple atop the mountain. If you’d like to recreate some scenes from Skyrim‘s campaign, then this is the game seed you want to be using.

Just be warned: The mountain is filled with slopes of water and lava falls, and the top reaches well over the cloud level.

Desert biomes play host to far more than just sand. Treasures await underneath.

Seed: 516687594611420526 (1.8.1)

With a spawning location nestled perfectly between the savannah and desert biomes, this particular Minecraft seed features a small desert village and plenty of room for a temple or even a man-made city in the sand.

The blacksmith nearby will offer plenty of resources for some powerful tools, including a couple of diamonds and a few iron ingots.

Three biomes combine in one small area, playing host to the perfect building location.

Seed: 998538147 (1.8.1)

Combined into one spectacular vista lies a mesa, plains, and desert biomes all combined into one intersection marked by a nice little temple to explore. Those looking for a highly varied bit of architecture and landscape should be right at home.

Nearby cows in the plains biome will offer the beginnings of a bustling farm, too, so be sure to trap as many as possible.

A thin stretch of green plains may not offer trees, but it does feature suitable building area.

Seed: 1785852800490497919 (1.8.1)

New players couldn’t ask for better building zones, as this will spawn you right next to 15 diamonds almost immediately. These are split into two chests in nearby temples, but that isn’t what makes this game seed so desirable for the budding builder.

The land nestled nicely between the mesa and the desert biomes is ripe for construction. It is a thin sliver of plain with a few lakes dotting the landscape. Wooden stuctures should look quite pleasant here.

This is as much about exploration under the ocean as it is about building above it.

Seed: Dossier (1.6.4)

Dossier is an odd game seed, as you can head immediately backwards from where you spawn and discover and odd rectangular building set up in the middle of the ocean. Within this building lies a nether portal. Anyone hoping to take things to the next level and build in the nether can gain easy access.

Thankfully, there are no strongholds that the player needs to contend with. The bunker’s rectangular roof is also the perfect little area for a tower fortress.

The island may be tiny, but a savvy builder can make it bloom upwards.

Seed: Sprite (1.6.4)

Sprite may appear to be a rather small landmass in the center of the ocean, but the Survival Island is the perfect spot for savvy builders to really show off their skills, especially underground.

Since there is only a single tree, the player is going to need to use their wits in order to truly build a structure, let alone an entire monument to their own achievement.

It’s only fitting the best loot-filled seed in the game bears the same name as the creators.

Seed: Mojang (1.7.10)

This seed, named after the famed development studio behind the game, offers the literal Diamond jackpot. The location is fully stocked with diamonds, gold, and iron – enough to craft any tools you need in order to build a massive structure.

There is plenty of land throughout the area, but the real treat is underground. You can construct massive, multi-storied mines, entire caverns, and temples all within the depths of the planet.

Massive mountain peaks could play host to caverns and underground construction.

Seed: MINDCRACK (1.6.4)

Have you ever dreampt of a sprawling mountain town connected by a series of elevated walkways and wooden staircases leading up into the heavens? This is the perfect seed for achieving such a goal.

Mindcrack has nothing but mountains within the area. We highly recommend building across each peak to make something truly dynamic and impressive.

The frozen tundra can be warmed with the right amount of structures.

Seed: 8808965351917122749 (1.7.10)

If you fell in love with Frozen along with your children or siblings, then this is the seed you want to be building within. The player will spawn directly in the center of a large patch of massive ice spikes and more than enough snow.

While snow can be difficult to build within – due to the significant lack of building resources – the overall look will more than make up for that in the end.

The village church could be just the beginning. Perhaps a small fortress would be efficient, too.

Seed: 7948465608435211783 (1.6.4)

Spawning right beside a small church village, you’ll find yourself in a seed offering plenty of land to add on and construct your very own Medieval castle city.

The nearby lake is home to a secret, too. Dig far enough down from the center and you will locate an underground cave network full of resources.

This mesa biome could play host to tribe-like settlements dotted around the landscape.

Seed: 81781890028 (1.7.10)

Anyone who has spent significant time within World of Warcraft will definitely remember the Badlands location. The area is stark, deep red and brown, and definitely has a mesa vibe to it. Well, this specific seed will recreate all of that glory, just with very few Orcs.

Creative Mode is probably the best option for building here, as there aren’t a lot of resources or mining options in the immediate area. The tower mesa peaks should make for some truly magnificent structures, though.

The mountain overhangs that make this seed so unique are the perfect spots for towers or entire homes.

Seed: 4079393558202846493 (1.6.4)

While it does have an incredibly long seed to enter manually into the game, the benefits far outweigh the slight negative early on. Semi-floating mountainous structures, overhangs, various plains, and a couple of impressive mountain ranges will offer plenty of room for brilliant construction.

We can already imagine the towers sprouting up on top of the mountain overhangs, allowing the player to view everything in the immediate area.

Scenic vistas play host to the perfect spots for small villages or player mansions.

Seed: Survival (1.7.10)

Survival has some of the most scenic vistas in the entire game. By exploring the spawn area, the player can quickly find a mountain located near the sea with some hallowed out areas that could be perfect for a thief’s den.

There is also a massive fissure through the land, which could be the right spot for wooden walkways leading into homes cut into the stone.

This older seed can be still keep up with new versions, thanks to the jungle scenery.

Seed: england (1.6.4)

While ‘england’ may be for older versions of Minecraft, it still offers a great seed for those who enjoy building under the canopy of the jungle. There are gold and bones nearby to add to your resources, too.

Tribal-themed buildings, temples, and huts will be perfect in this area for those with an idea in their head.

These are only 20 of the innumerable options of game seeds that can be entered into your game. There are so many, and the variety is so impressive, that every single player is going to have a different favorite starting area.

In the end, though, what you build and how impressive you make the world you play in is completing up to you.
