Fortnite: Battle Royale to Receive a Map Makeover

Fortnite's biggest update yet is introducing new zones for players to explore, as they duke it out to come out on top.

Epic Games' biggest update yet is set to launch tomorrow, January 18th. The V.2.2.0 update, dubbed "New Map," brings several "new points of interest, biomes, and more" to the Fortnite: Battle Royale map, per the patch notes. This map makeover is part of a consistent stream of updates by Epic to continuously improve the Battle Royale experience for its growing player base.

The new points of interest will fill empty space on the map and allow players to create new strategies and routes, making each game played even more unique. Players can expect more vertical play at Tilted Towers, an underground bunker in the Shifty Shafts, and a charming, dog-shaped crane at Junk Junction.
