Paradox Interactive has revealed edition details for Age of Wonders 4. Alongside the announcement, a story trailer showcasing the return of the Wizard Kings was released. Age of Wonders 4 is set for launch on May 2, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The next entry in the Age of Wonders franchise is now available for pre-order. Along with the base game, the Premium Edition can be pre-ordered which comes with the Expansion Pass. The Expansion Pass will give players the “Archmage Attire” instantly, while additional content packs and expansions will be available in the future.
Dragon Dawn Content Pack
Set to release in Q3 of 2023, this pack will include a new Dragon Ruler type, a Reptilian Form, and new Tomes of Magic. You will be able to evolve your people into dragon hybrids, if you so desire.
Empires and Ashes Expansion Pack
Coming in the following quarter, the Empires and Ashes expansion will feature a new Story Realm, new Tomes of Magic, a new Culture, new Empire Building features and the ability for players to fuse magic with steel.
Primal Fury Content Pack
Heading into 2024 the Primal Fury content pack is slated for a Q1 release. The Primal Fury content pack will a new Primeval Culture, the ability to create beastial races, and new Tomes of Magic. Your surroundings will also become home to new resources, new wildlife and new creatures.
Eldritch Realms Expansion
The last DLC to be included in the Expansion Pass is the Eldritch Realms Expansion. With an expected release in Q2 2024, players will have to face down new enemies to Magehaven. New magics will be revealed. The expansion will include new magical realms and locations, new monsters and new racial forms.
