Akiba’s Trip was first released in Japan on the PlayStation Portable in 2011. The sequel, Akiba’s Trip 2, was the first game in the series brought to North America as Akiba’s Trip: Undead and Undressed in 2014 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 4, and PC.

The games take place in Tokyo’s Akihabara district, which is known for electronics stores and anime and manga merchandise. In the games, players roam the streets of Akihabara while defeating vampiric creatures called “Synthisters”, who feed off of social energy. This is done by tearing off their clothes and exposing them to the sunlight. Over 130 real life Akihabara shops are featured in the game.

Akiba’s Beat will be released for the PS4 and PS Vita.
