There’s a new Animal Crossing game coming for the Nintendo 3DS. This version of Animal Crossing is about interior design. In this game the players have to design custom rooms for characters of the game series.

Using the amiibo cards for the game allows the player to take on the challenges of decorating the rooms of that character. The cards feature recognizable characters from the series. When players use the cards they get access to characters’s rooms. Players can scan other character cards to see the room once it’s completely designed.

This is exciting news along with the newly released and updated 3DS XL, which features amiibo support. Nintendo will be releasing an external NFC reader/writer to bring amiibo support to older versions of the 3DS. This way players who have older versions can get in on the action.

Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer with its amiibo cards will be hitting store selves Fall 2015 for the Nintendo 3DS. An NFC reader/writer will be included for those with older consoles.
