This article is over 11 years old and may contain outdated information

Get your passes and mark your calendars for September 19th through the 22nd as XOXO 2013 is set to commence once again in Portland, Oregon. This festival is about independence in the realm of art and technology. There will be social meet ups, a market, an arcade, live music, film screens and tabletop gaming. It’s going to be four fun-filled days in Portland come September.

Conference

What festival isn’t complete with a conference? XOXO is not any different. The conference is two days long and filled with talks from creators and developers and the internet tools we all love and use. Some of the mentioned speakers include:

  • Cabel Sasser (Panic Inc)
  • Chris Anderson (Wired/3DRobotics)
  • Jonathan Coulton (Musician)
  • Marco Arment (The Magazine/Instapaper)
  • Molly Crabapple (Artist/Illustrator)

This isn’t an all inclusive list. There are others to speak, plus some surprise speakers yet to be announced.

Passes

XOXO 2012 was so popular that passes sold out quickly. How quickly you might ask? They were all gone in 2 days, or 48 hours as their site puts it. So They have two passes this year.

  • Conference & Festival Pass – $500 (Gets you into all events)
  • Festival Only – $100 (Everything but the conference talks)

This festival and the conference looks like so much fun! If they sell out as fast as last year, I’d recommend picking up your passes ASAP!
