Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon Demo Out Now

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon gets a playable demo released a week ahead of the game's full launch.

Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is launching soon next week on March 17, 2023, coming to the Nintendo Switch for $59.99. The game is a prequel to the Bayonetta series, before she became known as her namesake and was simply referred to by her childhood name, Cereza.

In Lost Demon, Cereza is on a mission to rescue her mother, Rosa, by venturing into the forbidden Avalon forest. The game is starkly different from the well-known Bayonetta series with a delicate watercolor art style, and gameplay that seems to appeal to a broader audience.

Nintendo must know that the new title is curiously different to people familiar with the franchise, so they have released a demo today ahead of the game’s full launch next week.

In the demo, you can experience the first two chapters, and carry any progress made into the game’s full version. You will get to play as both Cereza, and her companion stuffed animal, Cheshire, solving puzzles by combining the abilities of both characters. The game also features a unique playstyle where you will utilize the left side of the controller to fight as Cereza, and the right side to fight as Cheshire.

We have already dipped our toes in the demo and can say with confidence that they have created a charming and enchanting world that leaves us eagerly awaiting the full release. Stay tuned with us as we inch closer to the game’s full release next week.
