Bethesda Packs up and moves on from Skyrim

After 7 hard years of work, the Skyrim team at Bethesda is moving on to work on bigger and better things.

So that’s it?

Well yeah. Today, the team of people at Bethesda who brought you Skyrim are officially saying they are finished with Skyrim. This means no more DLC, or content packs. So if you’ve been waiting for the signal to buy it all in one chunk, or a reason to finish what you have, its here. Personally, I was never too much into Skyrim, so it’s not a huge deal for me.

Now, this doesn’t mean Skyrim won’t be getting anything new ever again. There’s still mods, player created content, and any fixes for any bugs that may come down the line. Mods really help breathe life into a game that’s been left in the dust by the devs.

What this does mean though is that Zenimax and Bethesda will be moving on to their next project. If I had to guess, they are most likely shifting more people over to The Elder Scrolls Online, considering how big of a focus it is for the company. And in my opinion it could use it.
