BioWare Announces New Dragon Age Keep Details

Dragon Age Keep gets a delayed release date, just like Dragon Age: Inquisition, but will still launch before the game.

A week after revealing the postponement of Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare announced the delay of the accompanying Web program: Dragon Age Keep. This program, also known simply as “The Keep,” is “a companion Web experience that allows you to customize your story choices across the Dragon Age franchise.”

Here is a little taste of how BioWare believes the Web experience adds to your Dragon Age gameplay:

  • The Keep is a good introduction for gamers who are experiencing the world of Thedas for the first time through Inquisition.
  • The program allows gamers to recreate previous playthroughs of the first two Dragon Age games. This means you’ll be able to have previous choices impact Inquisition, even if you’re playing on a different console, or you have “lost or corrupted save files.”
  • Gamers can explore options in previous games that they may not know existed.
  • Gamers can create and save 5 different versions of the Dragon Age world.

Those are the highlights, but if you want to know even more check out the Keep’s FAQ page.

Interested, yet? If so, you might want to check out the program for yourself by applying for the beta at dragonagekeep.com.  However, BioWare warns on their blog post that applicants “are selected based on their application responses, not on a first-come first-serve basis.”

According to the FAQs page, Dragon Age fans can expect the Keep to launch about a month before Inquisition‘s November 18th release.
