Infinity Ward has stated the extension is due to the testing of a new matchmaking system that will allow for faster match speeds and higher quality connections.

Along with the extension, a new map and mode were released as well . The mode will be instantly recognizable to any fans of the series, as the popular Gun Game makes its triumphant return. This brings the total amount of content in this beta to five modes and four maps.

If you’re worried that you won’t have enough time to experience all of the beta, don’t worry — there is another test scheduled from October 21st to the 24th.

Also, if you’re a proud owner of an Xbox One or PC and worried about not being able shoot dudes with space guns, never fear. The second beta will be open for everyone later this month.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released November 4th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
