Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 Zombies — Blood Of The Dead Gameplay: Not Your Ordinary Game Trailer

COD: Black Ops 4's Blood of the Dead Trailer is pure magic and nostalgia.
This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

Today, a stunning cinematic trailer was released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s Blood of the Dead zombie mode, and even non-Black Ops players are going to love it. (Unless of course, you hate fun and zombies.)

The trailer is all story — bloody, giblet splattering story.

It takes players to alternate-universe Alcatraz overrun by the undead. Exactly how this occurred, the trailer doesn’t explain. There’s no exposition. But if you watch the video, you might come to the same conclusion as me. The gates of hell opened on the island and claimed the damned, bringing with glorious zombie-slaying action.

Longtime fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops‘ zombie modes should recognize another prominent feature of this video, too — the song. For those who don’t know, a track titled “Where are we Going” was featured as an Easter egg in the Mob of the Dead zombies map in Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 3. The song — written by Treyarch sound designer Kevin Sherwood and James McCawley, and performed by vocalist Malukah, was originally about half the length of what appears in this trailer.

Of course, the Zombie mode isn’t the only mode in the game. In fact, we posted a trailer giving a look at all the game modes was last month.
