Genshin Impact 1.3 revolves around the ancient Lantern Rite festival celebrating the new year. In addition to helping prepare for the festival through various quests, players can take part in the main event itself and a brand-new tower defense game called Theater Mechanicus.

Xiao the Vigilant Raksha makes his debut in Genshin Impact 1.3. He’s a five-star character who wields a polearm for his main weapon and uses powerful elemental attacks that drain his health with every use. Players may also choose a free four-star character from Liyue as part of the event.

The Lantern Rite Festival offers plenty of additional rewards for Genshin players too. 10 Intertwined Fates are available for free as part of a daily login bonus, and players can earn over 1,600 Primogems and other resources. Stay tuned for more.
