Four Quarters and Devolver Digital announced the roguelike deck-builder Loop Hero will release March 4 on PC via Steam, and there’s a demo available now.

Loop Hero takes the idea of heroes carving their own paths very seriously. Each stage is comprised of a route the hero must traverse in a specific way. It’s the player who decides what goes in each tile on the loop, and while it sounds like a good excuse for stuffing every stage with the best gear and items, there’s more to it than that.

Loop Hero is about making a balanced path using the hand the hero is dealt and each hand includes a mix of enemies, buildings, helpful items, and more. That means trying to outfit them with what they need before tackling the inevitable Big Bad and probably dying in the process.

Fortunately, the hero unlocks powerful new cards to increase the chances of not dying along the way.

The Loop Hero demo is live now on Steam, and until March 11, Devolver is offering a discount on Loop Hero that brings the price from $14.99 to $12.79.
