Valve won't be attending E3 this year either. My hopes for a Portal 2 DLC are once again sorely dashed.

Community news site ValveTime tweeted the following screencap of an email from Doug Lombardi, Valve’s Vice President of Marketing:

In all honesty, this should not have come as such a surprise to me as it did. While they attended the annual Electronic Entertainment Expo last year and the year before, no new titles were announced then either. Hopes of news concerning the mythical SteamBox, dashed once again!

As an avid PC gamer, this comes as a source of great disappointment to me, particularly when I held out secret hopes and dreams for a Portal 2 DLC. Fortunately for console fans, Microsoft and Sony can still be counted on for the expected face-off between next-generation Xbox and PlayStation.
