The last Contra title came out as a PS3/360 downloadable title in 2011. The iOS game released today is just as fun and 8-bit-sexy as you’d expect. You can work on your jumping and shooting anywhere that you want, on the can or on the bus or even on the moon, as long as your phone still works up there.

The game takes place in the jungles of South America where aliens are running amok and it’s your job to shoot to kill and ask questions later. The gameplay still packs a full sized set of challenges even though the screen you’ll be playing on will be deceptive.

If you’re a fan of the Contra games, then you’re in luck! The game has released today and it is $0.99 on the iPhone and $2.99 on the iPad. A great price for a full powered wallop of a game.

I have two goals in life. 1)Publish a novel and 2) write a questline in a core Elder Scrolls game. Until then, I spend my 9-5 performing IT support. The rest of my time is spent: playing games, going on hikes with my Wife and our Corgi, or planning D&D sessions that will never happen.
