Crash Bandicoot 4 on Nintendo Switch Could Be in the Works

A Crash Bandicoot 4 Switch port might already be in the works, based on what one fan has found hidden in a bit of code.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is headed to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on October 2. But the game’s official website suggests Crash Bandicoot 4 could be coming to the Nintendo Switch at some point.

Twitter user SunwerPrower found the information in the site’s code for pre-orders. Alongside the expected options for already-announced platforms, there’s code for pre-ordering Crash Bandicoot 4 on Nintendo Switch as well.

A Switch version would not be that surprising. Activision and Toys 4 Bob first released the Crash N.Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy on all platforms aside from Switch, later porting them, following a much-needed update for Spyro in particular.

In fact, it’d be much more surprising if Crash Bandicoot 4 didn’t end up on the Switch. It’s billed as a direct continuation of the original Crash Bandicoot trilogy already on the Switch after all, taking the style, design, and characters in a new direction while still retaining the same classic gameplay foundations.

But of course, this is all unconfirmed until Activision actually, y’know, confirms it. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for more Crash Bandicoot 4 news as it spins up.
