The extremely popular and critically acclaimed Arcade mobile game Crossy Roads, has received a Multiplayer upgrade. While the upgrade is regrettably confined to your Wifi network, it is still a great addition to the game with 120+ Million downloads. The Multiplayer mode is currently available on Android devices, and should arrive on iOS in May.

If you’re not familiar with the Arcade hit, Crossy Roads is a fun play on the old ‘why did the chicken cross the road’ joke, and as you likely guessed, involves crossing a variant of roads, train tracks, rivers and grasslands without getting hit by the various obstacles in the way.

The Multiplayer mode let’s you brave the dangerous roads (and other assortment of terrains) with a group of up to three friends. Keeping true to the competitive nature of the game, you’ll have to see who can get the furthest without dying. But there is also the option to revive fallen comrades, and get on the leader boards by working as a unit!

For the Apple lovers out there, there seem to be reports of the Multiplayer mode also working on the Apple TV, in conjunction with an Ipad or Iphone, but we weren’t able to verify this independently. However if you’d like to give it a go, you can check out this helpful video tutorial below.
