Destiny Court Case Documents reveals Five Code name Projects

It was only yesterday that Marty O’Donnell resolved his lawsuit against Bungie. After the case was closed, detailed documents were released concerning the case. Within the documents were five code-named projects that are meant to be released by Bungie up to 2020.

Information concerning Bungie and Activision’s contract was contained within the court case documents:

“In 2010, Bungie entered into a ten-year development and marketing agreement with publisher Activision Publishing, Inc. to fund development of Bungie’s new first-person shooter video game that later became Destiny. The agreement anticipated the issuance of multiple episodes of the game over a period of ten years. The first game was scheduled for release in September 2013. Destiny is Bungie’s most significant game franchise in development. Activision’s development advances for Destiny have been a significant source of Bungie’s income. Currently Bungie plans to issue additional episodes of Destiny.”

We already knew that Destiny and Activision would be in a partnership for 10 years. However, what we were not aware of is that five games for Destiny would come out of it.

In the chart above, you can see the titles of the five codenamed projects. There are Tiger Projects 1-4, and one project with the name Comet 4. Disregarding Project Tiger 1, every project is meant to be released on September 30th of the years 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.

Though these are the projected release dates for the Destiny content, the original Destiny itself was delayed for a while. So we can only wonder whether those dates will shift or not.
