The Dota 2 The International group stage is finally on the run. The 4-day group stage is an essential part of the tournament that determines their final places in the Main Event Bracket. Here is a quick roundup of the first day on The International group stage:
Day 1
LGD leads the Group A with 6 points, winning their two amazing matches against Cloud 9 and coL.DotA2 in a best of two series. It is no surprise for LGD as they are one of the most consistent team in Group A. Also, the fan favorite Team Secret came up with a draw on its match against the Malaysian team Fnatic, which surprised fans.
On the other side, the two strongest teams in Group B, Evil Geniuses (EG) and Vici Gaming (VG) is the biggest loser of the day as they draw their “within reach” matches on underdog teams.

CDEC coming from wild card also stuns the Group B as they upset MVP.Hot6ix in a 2-0 run which earned them 3 precious points.
