Dota 2, the popular MOBA by Valve, has joined in the crusade of Halloween events this season with a “Haunted Colosseum” event. This event is a 5v5 territorial control custom game. It involves capturing points and avoiding the “devilish traps” along with dodging warrior Behemoths. The traps are set by enemy players – but be careful, some traps don’t just hurt your enemy, they can hurt your friends and yourself as well.
If that isn’t enough to send a shiver up your spine, then maybe the Spooky Behemoths will. Players can activate these Behemoths by scoring 1,000 points. This brings forth a Behemoth to your side to fight and defend you. They are immune to magical damage and also have true sight.
Players gain points by capturing control points. If you get up to three, your team will score points even faster. Once you reach 5,000 points the match ends. So, be sure to capture at least three points and defend them to win the game!
As you defend, be sure to also collect the yummy treats your foes’ lifeless corpses will drop after defeat. These treats can restore health, mana, or grant additional gold so you can shower your hero with items. Fortunately, unlike real life, these treats won’t make your hero gain a few pounds.
Players that own the “Fall Compendium” seasonal item will get their second Tribute treasure now. The treasure is called, “Tribute of the Sharpened Feather.” Be sure to check that you have retrieved it.
