Dragon Quest X Wii U Trailer Makes Me Yearn for Western Release

Dragon Quest X is the first MMORPG in the series.

The Wii version Dragon Quest X has been out in Japan since last August, and its Wii U port is slated for release on March 30. The game’s shift from a mostly single-player experience (sans Dragon Quest IX on the DS) to a console-only MMORPG is an interesting turn, but one not all fans of the series agree with.

The trailer above gives a nice look at the improved visuals of the Wii U version. Both versions are compatible with one another, but we will probably not be seeing a Western release due to the Dragon Quest X‘s pay to play subscription model. We can hope!
