The Elite: Dangerous Beta will be warping its way to Mac on Tuesday, March 31st, 2015. All commanders who are already combating, exploring, or trading their way through the PC beta have access to the Mac beta. You can gain access to the launcher on your Elite: Dangerous account. Frontier Developments forums will have information about availability times for the Mac beta. It was also announced that Elite: Dangerous will be making its way to Xbox One, and (somewhere down the road) to PlayStation as well.

In other news, Frontier Developments’ first challange was officially completed. This challenge was for commanders to reach Elite status in combat, trading, and exploration. The first players who reached Elite in each category received a £1000 (about $1488 USD) reward. Commander OnePercent, the first to achieve Elite status in all three categories recieved a £10,000 (about $14,875 USD) reward.

Frontier Developments interviewed OnePercent about what it took to complete the challenge. To read the interview or get information about the new challenge, visit the official game site and subscribe to the free weekly newletter for constant updates.
