‘Never’… Sort of.

Apologies to anyone who’s skipped sign up for closed beta figuring on a massive pre-launch open beta; it looks like that’s not going to happen. It was confirmed on the ESO support site February 5th that they will not be holding a “traditional open beta.”

The Good News? There’s still hope. A lot of it.

While they do explicitly state that there will be no traditional open beta, it does sound like virtually everyone who signs up for closed beta will get to participate in at least one test event. So sign up now and start waiting on your beta invite to the Elder Scrolls Online – it sounds like that’s one of the very few ways to get your hands on it before ESO’s official PC launch day, April 4th, 2014.
