Explore Redcliffe Castle with the Inquisitor and her Companions in the latest “Dragon Age: Inquisition” Video

Part 2 of the "Dragon Age: Inquisition Gameplay Series" gives players a closer look at some of the Companions

Today, Bioware unveiled the second video in their “Dragon Age: Inquisition Gameplay Series,” just a few days after the release of  “E3 Demo Part 1: Hinterlands.” At 14 minutes, “E3 Demo Part 2: Redcliffe Castle” is a bit shorter than Part 1, but even more intense. Though lacking in dragon fights, Part 2 will not disappoint if, like me, you are a fan of Dragon Age‘s fantastic storyline and compelling characters.

The Inquisitor explores Redcliffe Castle,  assisted by a new companion: Dorian, “a mage from the nation of Tevinter.” Viewers get a taste of some dialogue options during a few cut scenes with him, and with a familiar face from Dragon Age: Origins–Leliana.

Just like in previous Dragon Age games your actions can have some pretty serious consequences. When we first see Leliana in the video, someone is torturing her, which video narrator Mike Laidlaw says is a result of the Inquisitor’s previous actions.

“Inquisition’s focus on leadership means that we needed characters that were sophisticated and believable. Ones that react not only to what you say, but to the actions that you take.”

Part 2 also demonstrates a much darker side of Inquisition than the first video. As the characters travel around Redcliffe the affect “the Breach” has on the land is clear. There are also a few fights with some demonic-looking creatures, and a powerful mage from Dorian’s past, culminating in a scene that will have viewers anxious to find out what happens next.

Find out October 7th, when Dragon Age: Inquisition releases for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4.
