Development on the game is being led by Ubisoft Montreal in collaboration with Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Kiev. A truly international team of developers!

Now, onto the nitty-gritty of the new game. In Far Cry 4 players will find themselves in Kyrat – a dangerous part of the Himalayas where they find themselves struggling against the regime of a self-appointed king. It’s up to you to write your own story using a ridiculous array of weapons, vehicles and animals

According to Dan Hay, Executive Producer,

Given the unique setting, we feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to reveal more about the game in the coming months.

The new game is scheduled to be available November 18 in the US and November 20 in the EMEA territories and will be available for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC gamers using Windows. Sorry Nintendo people, you’re out of luck.

Customers who pre-order Far Cry 4 will get a few bonuses, namely a free upgrade to the Limited Edition! This will include “Hurk’s Redemption”, a series of three single-player missions using the character Hurk from Far Cry 3, and Hurk’s signature harpoon gun, “The Impaler”.  A pretty nice upgrade for fans of the series.

More information will be forthcoming at Ubisoft’s Media Briefing at E# which promises an exclusive first look at Far Cry 4. Until then, check out their website to keep up to date with the latest game information.
