Final Fantasy 7 Remake's second Ultimania book is launching this December

Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Material Ultimania Art Book Announced by Square Enix

Final Fantasy 7 Remake's second Ultimania book is launching this December

It’s been a busy time for Final Fantasy 7 Remake fans. We’re still waiting on news for part two’s arrival, though we know Tetsuya Nomura won’t be directing. Sony’s State of Play presentation last month announced that Remake is coming to PS5Incorporating a new DLC episode starring Yuffie, this isn’t the only thing Remake fans can look forward to this year.

Following on from that, Square Enix has just revealed that a new art and visual reference hardcover book called Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Material Ultimania will release on December 7 for $39.99.

Speaking about the upcoming reference book, Square Enix issued this press statement:

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Material Ultimania … features the incredible artwork and visual references from the development of the universally acclaimed Final Fantasy VII Remake, which has sold more than 5 million copies since its release in April 2020 and was lauded as one of the best games of 2020.

Perfect for new players and long-time fans of the title, the large-format hardcover book offers a ton of content and a plethora of rich four-color art printed on heavy stock.

Since 1997, Square Enix has released Ultimania books for each main series entry and notable spinoffs, beginning with the original Final Fantasy VII. This marks the second Ultimania book for Remake, which previously saw the Japan-only (and similarly named) Final Fantasy VII Remake: Ultimania last year.

As a friendly reminder, Remake is one of this month’s PS Plus games, though that edition doesn’t give you access to the free PS5 upgrade coming later this year with Intergrade. We gave Remake 10/10 stars, so we strongly recommend checking it out if you haven’t already. Stay tuned to GameSkinny for any further developments as they happen.
