The much-anticipated action-RPG takes place on Eos, a world that fuses modern technology with traditional fantasy elements familiar to followers of the series. Players will take on the role of Prince Noctis of the Kingdom of Lucis, embarking on a quest to reclaim his homeland from imperial control.

Players can traverse a huge open world in what has been dubbed as Final Fantasy’s take on the road trip/buddy movie. Noctis travels with his three close friends and bodyguards, on his way to marry Princess Lunafreya Nox Fleuret of the neighbouring kingdom of Tenebrae.

Final Fantasy XV’s combat will combine real-time action with strategic elements, and gameplay will include classic summons and the fan favorite chocobos! It’s being directed by Hajime Tabata, who worked on previous Final Fantasy games and The 3rd Birthday, and has been in development in various forms since 2006.

The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29th.
