First Look At Life By You — A Sims-Like Life Simulator by Paradox

Paradox and Rod Humble have revealed a sneak peek at their upcoming life simulator game, Life By You.

Life-sim gamers rejoice, there is a new title coming your way. Today, March 6, 2023, Paradox announced that a new life simulator game, Life By You, is being developed with Rod Humble. Rod Humble is the former Sims studio lead, giving his new project a substantial footing.

The game was teased today at the Paradox Announcement Show presented by Xbox. The game’s feature clip reveals features such as cars, and house-building mechanics that will look instantly recognizable to The Sims players. You can also see two of the characters cozying up with hearts floating around, giving you the impression that there will be romancing options familiar to fans of the genre.

From the looks of it, Life By You could be the first true competition for The Sims franchise. It will be interesting to see if the game will enable mods, a feature that has given The Sims a long-lasting fan presence.

Another comparison that will be hard to resist is how much content is included in the game at launch. The sneak peek of cars in the clip could imply that they plan to include more than Humble’s previous work, due to cars being purchased via DLC for The Sims. When it comes to getting players to move over to Life By You, this will undoubtedly be a strong selling point.

We are looking forward to the full reveal scheduled for March 20, 2023 and will keep you updated with all there is to know about Life By You.
