We received our Foc.us tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation) for gamers device today and we had to try it out. All indications are that tDCS devices are perfectly safe, but if this is your first time pumping a few milliamps into your brain… you might be a bit skeptical too.

The Method

Our first task was to properly psyche Brian up and to then get him to sign a waiver and agree on camera that zapping his brain was OK. We show an unpacking of the device, go over some basic functions and then we run Brian’s Brain through the Foc.us tDCS magic. Then he played Awesomenauts.

The Result

After using the Foc.us Brian reported, in our very scientific study, that he felt like his jumping ability had improved 10%.That’s real results people!

The rating: We give the Foc.us an initial rating of a 7. There is real science here, the packing, presentation and documentation are very nice, but we need more testing of the actual performance to refine the rating.
