FPS Creator Reloaded Has Been Greenlit on Steam

In a recent press release, The Game Creators Ltd. (tgc) announced that their latest project, FPS Creator Reloaded, has been approved by Steam Greenlight for worldwide distribution through the Steam client. It will join 49 other titles voted on by Steam users, which have been Greenlit by the service on January 7th, with an 86% approval rating by voters.

 FPS Creator Reloaded is intended to be an expansive, yet easy to use, tool that will allow many types of content to be created within minutes, with minimal effort. In a separate press release, Lee Bamber, CEO & lead developer at The Game Creators, said,

“FPS Creator Reloaded is set to raise the bar and provide the easiest, most flexible and visually stunning way to create and sell your own games…we are pioneering an exciting technology.”

The initial development began in 2012, when an anonymous investor supported the project after the failure of a Kickstarter campaign by tgc. Since then, the team has accepted pledges through the development website as a means of keeping fans and content creators involved in the development process.

The team has recently taken on new members to work on additional features voted on by beta users. These include Oculus Rift compatibility and the ability to import media. Pledges who download beta access versions can still provide suggestions and vote on new features through the project’s website.

While no release date has been set, pledges of $30 or more will grant early access to the beta builds which are updated every three months, and higher pledges grant additional resources like model packs and monthly alpha builds. The first alpha build for “Gold” pledges will be available January 17th.
