A free DLC and new gameplay modes coming in December to celebrate an impressive release for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.

Warhammer: Endtimes – Vermintide launched just over two weeks ago, and has already sold more than 300,000 copies. While that might not be an impressive figure for COD or Rise of the Tomb Raider, it’s a worthy milestone for Vermintide. Fatshark, Vermintides developer, is an independent game studio in Stockholm, Sweden — and they “couldn’t be happier” about their game’s success:

“We couldn’t be happier to reach 300,000 sales of Vermintide so far and the player reception and feedback, has left us humbled more than anything.”

– Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark

To celebrate Vermintide’s success, Fatshark is releasing its first DLC, Sigmar’s Blessing. Sigmar’s Blessing will be available December 3rd to all players for free!

“I’m super excited to announce that Sigmar’s Blessing will be free for all current and future Vermintide players, plus, going forward, Vermintide will offer alternating free and paid DLC.”

– Martin Wahlund

Almost all features of the DLC will focus on improving the loot system of Vermintide. Players will find an extra altar in the Inn where they can sacrifice unwanted loot for something better, better loot drops in quests, new traits to loot tables, and unique drops for each of the 40 weapon classes.

On top of the free DLC and upgraded loot distribution, Vermintide is planning on adding three new gameplay modes by the end of the year.

  • Private Mode- For players wanting the challenge of facing off against the Skaven alone, this mode is for you. No friends means no backup or support is coming your way in Ubersreik.
  • Realism Mode- Remove the HUD and crosshairs and anything else that makes you feel like you’re playing game. Creates a truly immersive and authentic (not to mention hardcore) experience for particularly skilled Vermintide fans
  • Survival Mode- Face off against wave after endless wave of ever-increasing enemies. How long do you think you can last?

Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide has an 81 user rating score Metacritic and impressive reviews across the web. Check out the co-op action first person combat adventure set in the End Times of the world of Warhammer on Steam today!
