Yesterday the Pokémon website announced that for two days only, Pokémon: The First Movie along with Pikachu’s Vacation is returning to over 200 Cinemark theaters. The movie will be showing on October 28th and November 2nd.
What is Pokémon The First Movie?
It is the first Pokémon movie ever released. It opened in Japan in 1998, and saw a worldwide release in 1999. The movie consists of three segments: Pikachu’s Vacation a 21-minute feature focusing on Pikachu, Origins of Mewtwo, a 10-minute prologue, and finally the main feature — Mewtwo Strikes Back.
The main feature follows Ash, Misty and Brock after they receive an invitation to battle the greatest Pokémon master in the world. They accept the invitation and make their way to New Island. It is there they come face to face with Mewtwo, who intends to enact revenge on humanity.
Relive the Pokémon movie
It has been 17 years since the movie first debuted in theaters worldwide. For two days, you will be able to revel in the nostalgia of watching the movie from back when most Pokemon fans were just children. Make sure you don’t miss out on your chance by booking your ticket through the Cinemark website.
