God Mode Activates January 14th

Expected to be released on January 14th, Saber Interactive's God Mode looks like a great game. With 4-player co-op, complete character customization, weapon upgrades, cheesy one liners, what's not to love?

Saber Interactive is back with their new title God Mode, for: Xbox Arcade, Playstation Network, and PC. This four player co-op games puts players in Hades’ maze as a god who was turned into a mortal by the game’s main story villain.

The game let’s up to four players fight their way out of Hades’ maze with completely customizable characters of the player’s choosing. The whole game plays out kind of like a satire of the old arena style shooters back in the day, with the announcer giving out one liners like they’re candy on Halloween. The whole game is played in third person and seems very similar to Space Marines’ Exterminatus Mode, or Gears of War’s Horde mode.

Not only can you customize your character, but you can customize your weapon via upgrades earned between rounds of fighting the undead. Now it kind of seems like Call of Duty zombies… still this game is actually fairly original and should be a great game.

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to try to get my hands on a copy and start playing January 14. I mean, I loved Bulletstorm and that game didn’t take itself too seriously, and it definitely seems like this game is taking the same approach as well. Heck, who knows? Maybe they’ll make that Bulletstorm sequel after people eat this game up.

(I know it’s a stretch but I want it so bad!)

I was born, stuff happened, then I got a bachelors and am writing for GameSkinny at the moment. All I really have time to play right now are flash games and League of Legends. Basically if it's a game odds are I'm going to like it, and if not I'll play for a while. Any game can be good or bad, it just depends on how you view the story, even if it isn't written. Sorry if you were expecting personal info, I don't really like giving that many details online unless I know you...
