Released yesterday as a free update for consoles and PC, Monster Masquerade brings a new map to the game in Monster Ball, which takes place in Hans Volter’s Transylvanian castle full of flamethrower traps, spiked pits, and dance floors.

You’ll also find new weapons in your arsenal for the Commando, Field Medic, and Sharpshooter, as well as event-exclusive items and cosmetics to collect.

The soundtrack has been tweaked to add new, grisly tunes to the main menu, in-game action, and trader menu, while specimen clones and bosses alike will get macabre makeovers with new models and effects during the event.

Rounding out the gruesome giblet action, Tripwire has also pushed out a few bug fixes and matchmaking improvements.

As if all of that weren’t enough, Tripwire also pushed out an exclusive crossover event between Killing Floor 2 and Road Redemption.

As of yesterday, players who own both games on Steam can take part in the free event: Killing Floor 2 players can get their bloody hands on the Road Redeemer, a barbed-wire covered baseball bat perfect for busting specimen skulls, while Road Redemption players will ride the badlands with Hans Volter and DJ Skully.

The crossover event will be available for PS4 and Xbox One players later this year when Road Redemption launches on console. As of this writing, Tripwire did not specify an exact release date for the game on those platforms.

So what are you waiting for? Rev your engines, strap on your Mask of the Abyss, and take advantage of these limited time events from now until November 9.
