Those are words Halo fans have been itching to hear again in beautifully updated visuals for several months now from ODST’s Edward Buck. Following the disastrous launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, 343 Industries promised fans who played the game between launch and January that they would be receiving a free updated version of Halo: ODST. Since then, gamers have been chomping at the bit for any news about the fabled return of Buck and his squad.

Yesterday 343i’s Bravo put out the Master Chief Collection patch notes for the May update, which said ODST was in its final certification phases and gamers would hear more soon. 343i had previously said the updated game would be arriving this month; but the patch notes had fans worried they wouldn’t make the deadline. Then suddenly, at around 2:20 PDT, gamers received a message from 343i containing a download code for ODST Buck, Romeo, and all the troopers who had dropped.

At the same time, the game appeared (for good this time) on the Xbox Live store for with $4.99 price tag. $5 is in an incredible price to ask for the full campaign and a long list of playlists for an updated game like ODST. 343i is obviously using this game as an olive branch to fans to try to apologize for all the problems the Master Chief Collection threw their way. Excitement from fans on Halo forums across the web shows they’re certainly moving in the right direction.
