Heroes of the Storm Launches; Blizzard Offers Cross-Game Rewards

Heroes of the Storm has officially launched, and Blizzard Entertainment is offering cross-promotional rewards with its World of Warcraft and Hearthstone games to celebrate.

Editor’s Note: If you are already Level 12 in HotS, you must launch Heroes of the Storm in order for your account to be rewarded with the Hearthstone card back.

Galavanting with Graves in World of Warcraft

Starting on June 2^nd, players in World of Warcraft will be able to earn the Grave Golem combat pet by reaching level 20 in Heroes of the Storm. Players who have already reached level 20 in Heroes will automatically be eligible for the Grave Golem and will be granted the pet in-game.

Meanwhile, if you reach level 100 in World of Warcraft with any character, you will be rewarded the Ironside Dire Wolf mount in Heroes of the Storm. As with the Grave Golem, this reward is retroactive, and will be given in-game to any player who has already reached 100 with any character in WoW.

Show Everyone That You’re a Hero of the Hearthstone

World of Warcraft isn’t the only game getting a bonus from the Heroes of the Storm launch; Hearthstone players who reach level 12 in HotS will be rewarded with a special Heroes of the Storm-themed card back. Like the pet for WoW and the wolf mount for Heroes, the card back will be available to all eligible Hearthstone players at launch and is eligible to be earned retroactively by any player who has already reached level 12 in Heroes of the Storm.

In exchange, players who play 100 play-mode matches in Hearthstone – ranked or unranked – will receive the exclusive Hearthstone Card Mount in Heroes of the Storm. Unlike the other rewards, however, the Heroes Hearthstone Card Mount will not be available on launch day; instead, Blizzard will announce the release of the mount at a later date. All players who are eligible for the mount at the time of release will receive the mount immediately.

Heroes of the Storm launched globally on June 2^nd, 2015. Heroes of the Storm and Hearthstone are both free-to-play, with in-game purchases available. World of Warcraft is currently $19.99 USD and requires a monthly subscription fee of $14.99 USD. More information on these games can be found at Battle.net.
