Honkai Star Rail PS5 & PS4 Release Date — When Is HSR Coming to PlayStation?

Here's what we know about the rumors for the PS4 and PS5 release dates for Honkai Star Rail.

If you’re wondering when to expect the Honkai Star Rail PS5 and PS4 release date, you’re not alone. HSR launched on April 26, 2023, for PC, iOS, and Android devices. And it was an overnight success. This comes as no surprise, considering the free-to-play RPG was developed by HoYoverse, the same developer that also brought us the massively successful Genshin Impact. So when is it coming to PlayStation? In the wake of many rumors, we finally have a pretty solid idea when the title will arrive on PS4 and PS5.

Honkai Star Rail PS4 & PS5 Release Date: What We Know

During Summer Game Fest 2023, it was confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail would arrive on PS4 and PS5 consoles in Q4 2023, potentially placing its release date sometime in the fall or winter of this year. Nothing outside of that larger release window was confirmed.

HSR on PS5 & PS4: How We Got Here

In light of the game’s successful release, rumors were swirling for a while regarding Honkai: Star Rail‘s arrival on PS5 and PS4 consoles. Prior to launch, it was confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail would be available on Sony’s consoles. However, a release date was not set in stone, and this fact remains today. HoYoverse stated in a press release that more would be revealed at a later time.

Honkai: Star Rail confirmed its availability on PlayStation, which will be launched later in addition to the current iOS, Android, Epic Games Store and PC platforms. As the first time, Honkai: Star Rail’s PlayStation version gameplay was showcased to grant a peak at the extradentary astral adventure lies ahead. More information and release schedule of Honkai: Star Rail’s PlayStation version will be updated later.

Honkai Star Rail PS4 & PS5 Release Date Rumors

Past leaks suggested that we might receive Honkai: Star Rail on PlayStation consoles sooner than we once expected. In a tweet from HSR Stuff, it was suggested that HSR would arrive on PS5 and PS4 with version 1.1. However, the rumor didn’t hold up. The 1.1 update launched on June 7 without expansion to PS4 and PS5 consoles.

That’s what we know about Honkai Star Rail on PS5 & PS4. Something could change in the time between now and Q4 2023, so we’ll update this article when we know more and/or have a firmer release date. It’s worth mentioning that Genshin Impact was released on PlayStation 4 alongside its PC and mobile versions, taking an additional seven months to reach PlayStation 5, which could put HSR‘s PlayStation release sometime in November. We’ll just have to wait and see.
