It’s almost impossible to believe, but Star Wars: Battlefront is less than one week away from its release on November 17. Naturally, there are those who can’t wait to be taken to a battlefield in a galaxy far far away and both EA and Walmart have the perfect remedy.

If you are an EA Access subscriber on Xbox One, you are no doubt aware by now that you are able to play trials of new games a full five days before they officially launch. For Star Wars: Battlefront, that begins November 12th and you can play for a grand total of 10 hours

If you don’t have an Xbox One, don’t worry, you can still play early. If you’re lucky enough to live near one of 3,000 select stores, head over to your local Walmart and check out what the retail giant is calling its “Epic Weekend” promotion.

Beginning November 13, these stores will have the game available to play to the general public with scores of awesome Star Wars decor surrounding you to set the mood.

Quick Take: EA is pulling no punches on the Battlefront hype train so the game is bound to be the at least the loudest release of the month, if not the year. While it’s cool to see so much Star Wars hype, there’s still the little voice in my head that’s telling me that it’s smarter to wait a little bit on this title than jump in on Day 1. I hope I’m wrong, but I guess we’ll see come next week.
