Hyrule Warriors Legends gets long gameplay trailer

Watch 5 minutes of gameplay footage from Hyrule Warriors Legends

Hyrule Warriors Legends is fast approaching and Koei Tecmo is giving us a generous helping of new gameplay footage. As you can see in the trailer above there’s a handful of new features.

Recommended Videos

First are the special attacks for each character. Some you will recognize if you’ve played Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U and others are new. They all look pretty spectacular and it’s good to see them all in one place. There’s also a small moment where you can see Linkle waking up in her bed and getting ready to set off on an adventure, complete with hero tunic!

The 3DS version features new story arcs and characters from the Zelda universe, you can see Tetra being introduced in a familiar location from Wind Waker! It’s the first time we’ve seen any footage featuring locations from previous entries to the Zelda series in Hyrule Warriors Legends.

Towards the end of the trailer you can see the new fairy system announced earlier this week. Known as “My Fairy” it enables the player to collect food and various other items to feed the fairy and make them stronger. They can be taken into battle as an aide. Each one will have different attributes so it’ll be important to consider which to take.

How did you find the new trailer? Is there enough new content for a second purchase of the game when it’s released? Let me know in the comments below!

Hi guys, The names Toby and I'm from the UK, I'm 26 years old and I've had a huge passion for the gaming world pretty much since birth. My first gaming console was the NES and I've got my parents to thank for that one, since then I have been gaming non stop, mainly on Nintendo consoles and handhelds but I've recently branched out into Sony's world and I'm playing a lot of Steam games. My favourite genre's are probably JRPG's, Platform, Action/Adventure and I love games with a good story, things like The Last Of Us, Ni No Kuni, the Professor Layton series. I'm a massive Zelda nut, always loved the franchise, the characters and the different art styles, not to mention the music. Apart from gaming I enjoy going to the gym, reading and general socialising. Quite a big film buff as well and I love my music and the cinema! That's me in a nutshell anyways, look forward to chatting games with you all! :)
