In an interview with DualShockers, Forge Reply game designer Alessandro Mazzega praised the PS4 for being simple to launch the game on, and said that when they first opened up the game on Sony’s console, the game scurried by at a rapid “680 frames per second.”

…The first time they launched the game on the console at the studio it ran at 680 frames per second. They had to limit it because it was unplayable. He also added that for a 2D game like In Space We Brawl the console is maybe even too powerful.

Perhaps a robot could follow the game at nearly 700 frames per second, but we’re glad that the developer decided to lower the FPS for the standard human. Obviously, Mazzega was having some fun with the constant debate over resolution and FPS in the console wars.

In Space We Brawl is a twin-stick shooter that has a focus on local four-player co-op. From the looks of the launch trailer (that can be viewed above), it looks like an evolution from Super Stardust HD and extremely fun to play.

The game is now available at the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS3 for $11.99.
