Based on the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga series, this game is the second in the series to be developed by CyberConnect2. Following on from the release of the game on PlayStation 3 and 4 in Japan on December 17 2015, it finally arrives on those same consoles in North America today.

To build up the anticipation surrounding its release, Bandai Namco has consistently released a number of trailers, each showing a different episode. Each episode features different characters who appear as the protagonist Jotaro travels through time to meet his ancestor Jonathon Joestar, his younger grandfather, Joseph Joestar, and his younger uncle Josuke Higashikata. Other characters the protagonist eventually comes across are Giorno Giovanna, and his own daughter Jolyne Cujoh.

All of this includes a mysterious plot involving vampires and a series of characters who the protagonist once knew who have succumbed to the dreaded curse. You could say the bizarre adventure part is apt.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven releases today in North America on PlayStation 3 and 4 and in Europe July 1st 2016.
