Frog Lovers Get New Farming Sim in 2024

Get ready to hop into this froggy wonderland!

If you love frogs and cozy simulation games, Kamaeru: A Frog Refuge may be the game for you. This game revolves around adorable little frogs that you get to collect and take care of. You won’t have to wait too long to try it either because it’s release date is coming around very soon.

This new frog-themed sim, Kamaeuru: A Frog Refuse, comes from the same indie publisher, Armor Game Studios, that brought us other cozy games like Bear & Breakfast. In it, you create and decorate your unique haven to house your collection of frogs. You can place down ponds, beds, toys, and other props for your frogs to enjoy. Frogs give you various items you need for crafting. Plus, you can breed them together to create new species for your collection.

Kamaeru is a single-player experience with everything we cozy gamers love: decorating, crafting, and adorable pets, but it also adds some new features. We’ll complete minigames along the way, whether to combine materials for crafting or to care for our frogs. This will make it more hands-on and interactive, unlike the usual idle sim experience.

This relaxing simulation game features a gorgeous watercolor art style that screams aesthetic and coziness. As of right now, the game releases only on PC via Steam. However, games like this are perfect for the Nintendo Switch so hopefully we get a version of it there in the future as well.

The developers have yet to set an exact date, but they tell us it will be released sometime in mid-2024. This means we could see it released just in time for summer. As we get closer to the release window, we’ll hear a more exact date and time we should expect it. In the meantime, you can head to Steam and try out a free demo, if you’re on PC or MAC.
