Kingdom Hearts 3; It’s Finally On Its Way

Try as they might, Sony was unable to overpower the eruption of cheers as they displayed the first teaser for Kingdom Hearts III. Throughout the clip, cheering, clapping, whoops and screams of adoring fans are audible over the familiar sounds of Kingdom Hearts. I don’t know if you can tell, but this has been a long time coming.

We’ve Been Waiting for a While

For about seven years, since the release of Kingdom Hearts II, fans of the franchise have been relying on nothing more than speculation and rumor to feed their ever growing hunger for news of Kingdom Hearts III. Finally, fans of the franchise are able to feast themselves on a gorgeous look at the upcoming title.

Although the majority of the video was comprised of retrospective clips from previous Kingdom Hearts games, the latter portion gave gamers a loot at some of the wonder that is to come. Honestly, I was stunned. I was expecting beuatiful landscapes, well crafted characters, and incredible battles (What else would you expect from Square Enix?). What we, the gamers, got was a look at a Kingdom Hearts ready for the next generation of consoles.

Seeing Sora fleeing from an enormous horde of Heartless through the streets of some unknown city was incredible. The animations, the high quality texture, THE AMBIENT OCCULISION! Needless to say, I had to splash cold water on my face to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.

Yes, I’ll admit, I am a fan of Kingdom Hearts. I wouldn’t go so far as to say a die hard (no, I do not have giant body pillows of my favorite KH characters), but I have a deep love for the series. And if you don’t take my word for how incredible this games looks, see for yourself. I’ll let you be the judge of the Kingdom Hearts that is to come.
