Six companies showed interest in Volition (the company behind Saints Row) but Koch Media made the deal.

Volition, once apart of THQ, went to Koch Media last week. One of two companies to actually put a bid on the studio, Koch Media put out $22.3 million, where Ubisoft only put out $5.4 million. No small margin.

Volition is positive about the transaction and is pleased that they will not lose any current staff or even suffer loss in compensation–in fact, the only change they may see from this is a change in name. Deep Silver Volition is one of the many being considered.

The Deep Silver parent company did not buy Red Faction, however. The future of Red Faction remains unknown.
